Ascents in Kitten Wall having Beta

Fantastic. Rapped it to inspect the gear and some of the moves then redpointed it on the first try from the ground. What a wild set of moves.

Repeat to take the gang to crack school.

Highlights include watching a grade 30 sport climber dragging his hands through the crux while exclaiming that "it doesn't go".

Hand jam crux on polished feet. Super fun

Forgot the crack gloves, had to be a bit more selective about the jams. Harder than I remember as a result.

Came back with my jamming game strong and went easily this time. Still not an easy 15 in my opinion.

Felt good on it this time around. Super chuffed to have sent it. Still pumpy though.

Another beautiful crack despite the thrutchy start leaving me exhausted. Tricky getting the right jam sequence!

Felt on par with Necrophiliac but was more trusting of my jams. Crack L-plates acquired!

Super proud to get this clean. Thought it was done when I couldn’t get a nut out through the lower crux. Persisted for a few strenuous minutes before finally managing to pop it and keep moving. Found some legitimate hand jams comfortably but struggled to find sensible feet in the crack … felt harder than some 20+ graded climbs accordingly. Need to learn some crack technique!

felt harder than 22. the 3 people in my group that tried it can climb more than 22, and none of us got it right on the first go

Truly cannot believe I stuck that move - and neither could Tommathy swift given the blood-curdling scream I let out while making sure I held the swing. Then proceeded to be too gripped to take out the cam he punched in at the lip. Up and downclibed the topout like 4 times trying to get it out (which i did while handjamming for my life). Anyway thank god for all the dyno practice I've done in the last few months lol.

Never thought urban climbs modern style of comp palm pressing would be useful outside. Turns out I was wrong. This climb says fuck short ppl.

Finally a send of my "nemesis" climb. Would probably lead it if I felt keen

Pumpy if you suck at crack climbing

Didn't have a big 5 cam so clipped to the bolt in the left side. Pumped myself out for the first crux. The hand jams are solid but demanding. I have never had arms soo pumped that blood flow was very restricted so even the last jugs on the route felt so hard to grip on to. Never felt so insecure on a jug before. It was thoroughly enjoyable. Definitely worthy of being my first Trad project.

Next time with more style!

The start still felt a bit tough but been accustomed to the middle crux. Great climb. Take care of the loose rock ~2m below the top, its been marked with an X.

Got shit scared and had my first fall from above gear. Was a sick climb.

Had a good crack. Was turbo af.

Found a fun thread on the traverse to place a sling with a nut tool. The step around the roof is exciting.

Take me back to jam school! Forces you to use them.

The jams I got were absolutely bomber, but since I’m stupid I’m not looking for them by default which it made this thing HARD. don’t be stupid like me

Really good, took two tries and some collective effort in placing gear.

Slipped at the crux, my hand jam was perfect but hurt like hell, had to take one sit.
