For the second time this trip I'm going to say, maybe the best pitch of my life! Such a shame my foot slipped while waiting for the rope to be sorted out after it was thrown into a very large mess by the wind! So I slipped at like the first bolt so it was basically an onsight?

Finally got around to doing sweet dreams with my sister, and when given the opportunity to do this ending to one up her friends who had done the route previously, we decided to give it a shot! Still awesome!

A very worthwile, back to springwood before 10:30am style, adventure. Pitch one is the money, amazing climbing! Pitch 2 is hilariously short and still worthwhile, hanging from one leg on a heel toe cam was my personal highlight. Good quality!

Warmed up and it all felt pretty casual, got completely destroyed on the first lead shot and found some new beta that lead me to the send! Super psyched! Stayed on the RHS of the crack the whole way to the top which felt way easier so cant quite claim 27!

Unbelievable adventure! Was pretty intimidated rapping in and swinging across (which I nailed second shot) luckily nothing was too wet until just as I was setting off and a very big wave came and drenched everything. A 0.5 cam off the belay is key to not splashing into the raging sea below. So stoked on the onsight!!!!

Not as good as pole dancer, and because we linked it from the ground, rope drag was a serious issue, clipping the draws on the upper section was like doing max weight bicep curls and became the crux of the route! Still a lot of fun and nice and exposed climbing above the seal colony 100m below!!

What a pitch! Overhanging, thrutchy corner crack. Luckily the bomber hand jams the whole way keep you feeling ok. Pulling into the wide section was pretty tricky committing to a non-existent smear...

The infinite jug to glory. climbed in 3 pitches, you would never want to stop on that flake. Start is surprisingly tricky and harder than it looks! Once again the slab i thought was pretty exciting!

Definitely didn't start in the right place, and never traversed into the climb again.... later that night we discovered that we traversed into 'Corinth' at the sloping ledge with a bolt. We then traversed off coring going too far right onto a sketchy section that has possibly and never been climbed. Does being wildly off route count as a first ascent?

A high quality adventure! First pitch has excellent sections split by choss which i had a bunch of fun on! Second pitch is a funky corner filled with death choss with a cool finger crack to start. The weird placement of the end of the second pitch baffled us for quite a while so we kind of ended up doing it in 5 pitches? Getting off the top of the pinnacle is the real adventure though, with some chossy scrambling and horizontal slot shuffling it made for an awesome day!

Tricky little Boulder problem with fiddly gear, cool moves and good practices ce for some harder dolorite routes! Got it clean on toprope placing the gear and then took a fall off the final moves on my lead attempt!

Good quality at the bottom and the top, dirty, chossy and scary in the middle. Only went to the first double bolts then rapped off.

An absolute classic! First route we ticked in the Bungles and what a great one to start with! One of the easiest to locate with the base marked "V" and easy route finding. We left Balor Hut around 2pm, climbed through sunset and topped out as it got dark, thankfully the descent was much more straight forward than expected. 2 bolted raps and one more off a tree landed us right into the descent gully.

Ultra classic! Super easy route finding on an amazing feature! 3rd and 4th are pretty exposed but still ultra cruisy! The descent through the green glacier is spectacular and another easy descent to follow! should definately be on the tick list if you're heading to the bungles!

The best route in the Bungles for sure! A tricky first 2 pitches, the second pitch being significantly harder than the first but still very managable! The abseil pitch is kinda difficult to manage, with 2 ledges to choose from, the lower of the 2 makes the best belay! 4rd and 5th pitch are mega classic with great exposure and awesome climbing the while way! We got mildly off route on the 6th pitch, not following the gully and going a bit high! a big block broke off just before I reached the belay while seconding and i took a relatively small but crazy scary fall right onto wills belay! Very glad it held! Being slightly off route meant i led a very scary traverse back into the gully at much higher than grade 13 that the pitch is graded at! Racing the sun will lead the last pitch basically as a solo putting no gear in to save time! Because the pitch was so easy it made it super enjoyable! If you have a spare day in the Bungles, definately give it a try, as easy bail in possible after the second pitch!
