Ascents in Australia by Hugh

Did first two pitches just to scope it out for next time.

First 4 bolts are a scramble, gets steeper after that. The last 3 bolts are vertical. Some odd moves in there.

Moves to the first bolt after the belay are a little awkward/cramped with the belayer there. Almost kicked Brad in the face. The blocks definitely get in your head a little. Tough moves through the last bolt before the anchors. Rapped down after this after running out of time.

Bit thin towards the top. Fun.

Only did the first pitch of this, but I feel like the first pitch is maybe closer to 16 than 17? In any case, I'd say that the crux on Zeitgeist is more demanding than the crux on the first pitch here.

Potentially feels a little soft at the grade considering some of the other climbs here.

Great day out climbing. Didn't have the same sort of issues with rope drag that many others have had, and didn't encounter any loose rock either, though we were being super careful with holds. Awesome climb. Found the 3rd pitch to be as easy as the 2nd. Led 1st and 3rd pitches.

Steep-ish climbing to first bolt. Fairly easy for the grade

Great climb. Was pretty busy on the day we did it with 4 other groups on the wall. Beware, the 3rd pitch trends to the right. Don't follow the line of bolts heading left into sketchy mixed territory like the group in front of us!

Actual climbing was nice, especially pitches 4, 5 and 6. Lots of crumbling rock on the lower pitches.

Harder than it looks, but still ok for 16.

Fun climb. Heaps better than it initially looks. Tough moves are around the 4th bolt, but all pretty manageable. I think it actually feels a little better to skip the last bolt and climb over the roof.

Crux section on this one is fun. Few spider webs to content with.

A few nice moves.

Really fun route. Looks a little run out in spots from the bottom but the moves between the bolts are all solid. Hardest moves are to the first bolt, and then the last mantle move at the top.

First multi! Sick fun! Seconded first pitch, led second.

Weird stance to clip the 4th bolt but cruisy still.

Thought this was pretty fun climbing. Nice spot in the shade, great views. Good bolting.

Best climb of the grade at KP. Good moves, well protected (once you're above the first bolt), and has a nice flow to it.

Felt a little tough for a 14 in spots.

Fun route.

Easy climb. Plenty of holds and bolts. Rope drag was pretty intense towards the top though. Take plenty of extenders! Rad belay ledge also.

Warm up

Monster holds, and nice and steep at the grade. Fun climbing.

Amazing climb for the grade. Big moves, huge holds, and nice and steep. Awesome position. Semi hanging belay pretty uncomfortable for 3 people though.

Felt a little easy for a 14. A couple of fun moves though.
