Would be a classic at so many other crags but it's just not quite as mega as it's neighbours. Wild and improbable climbing up a super rad feature with a little bit of everything to keep it interesting. A great route!

The line of the crag! This climb stands tallest amongst a crowd of giants. Top work Monty (and Evan for the excellent finalé)!! Awesome scooping to a crimpy traverse and wild finish up the prow, topping it all off with a mantle to clip the anchors! What an excursion!! Has some really crazy (but delicate) features that you might avoid holding so that others can behold them in the future! Plenty of well placed bolts, a bunch of air, some pump, some rests and a whole load of fun! Radical!! You can lower from the last bolt with a 70 (just) but otherwise re-thread at the first or second bolt.

A bit average but gets a star for the position in the Grose and having a million well placed bolts (even though they are carrots). Kinda snappy and nails but a relatively straightforward path to the top. Harry and i scrambled the first pitch and then tried to simul but we got scared due to the iron stone's snappiness so we pitched it out when Harry got to the belay. If you wanted to add some length to Weld Party maybe you could rap down and do this as well but it would only be to add length not quality to your day.

First pitch is definitely classic in the style on great rock, but a little bit serious, second pitch maybe gets one star and is quite dirty. A great little outing with James, we planned on finishing up Weld Party but then it started to rain and rain so we bailed. A bit of a long walk for just two pitches. The second pitch is also not 45m of climbing, but probably is about that far to the tree you belay off.

Really good multi that is what everyone should do before attempting Bunny Buckets; it's about the same grade but only half as many climbing pitches and with good phone reception, and you can rap off and easily walk out at any point. Dragged my non-climbing mate James up it and he frothed, smashing out the first two pitches and having a sit on the third. Would be great in conjunction with the first two pitches of Serendipitous Cracks as we originally intended!

Dang awesome multi, bit of a rough approach since I went sockless, but once you get there it’s a wow moment. Surrounded by gross valley and then an impressive near vertical wall to the top. Juggy yet pumpy 1st pitch, juggy and fun 2nd pitch , 3rd pitch adds some spice and is more vertical. Epic climb and best multi I’ve done during this blueies trip.

This is a great route! Two long sustained pitches with good rock (for the Blueys), fine wall climbing to begin with then the airy and committing arete. Definitely three stars. Don't be fooled like I was last time with Lisa Vitaris when we believed the guide book, went 50m from Serendipitous Crack and got sandbagged on Remembering McKinnon ( The climb starts up a short corner below a roof-let then moves out right of the arete and up the wall.

Fantastic position – super airy! Thin pleasant climbing. There are definitely harder 22s in the Blueys. I guess it probably earns the grade due to the exposure. It's pointless taking cams down for the route, as you don't need them. I took #.75-3 cams just in case not knowing what to expect given it's a new route (the route changed from a 21 sport to a 22 mixed trad the morning of the climb!) but didn't end up using any as it's well bolted. Good fun.

2nding Stephen. Clean. Hard at the grade, and at times quite thin. Wild position and enjoyable climbing getting progressively harder until you topout, but too fragile and even a bit chossy to be a classic. Bloody windy today!

Almost, but not quite classic. Bloody long and very sustained at the grade. Like doing the crux part of the gr21 top pitch of mirrorball over and over again for 52m. Some of the harder moves might even push this into gr23 territory. Tricky to find the holds on the onsight due to literally no traffic since the FA (and moss on some crux holds), but probably worth more laps due to the beautiful slice of uninterrupted vericality that is Bald Head. Some fragile rock, but no real breakage. Windy!

About as good as a Blueys route can get at the grade (and quite tough at it, too), with generally pretty perfect rock up interesting scoopy features. Would be the trade route at any mainstream crag.

Stuck the "dyno" on the onsight... but to the only part of the rail that wasn't a rail . More great linkage to the top section before getting confused by the bolt location (I tried to climb the overhaning face super-direct, but you actually go out to the arête... I should've read the route description). An awesome steep line on firey orange rock that merges naturally into funky arête climbing. Marred only by the first few metres, and the bolts being several metres in from the arête.

Objectively this is pretty good (despite some crozzly rock), but by this time of day Neil and I were suffering in our aggressive shoes, and it was hard to fully appreciate it. P1 is a pleasant slab with an old-school vibe (like Barton's effort at The Wolgan) and a few feisty moves. P2 I a proud, slightly intimidating, unrelentingly techo arête which goes on forever and ever, all the way to the moon.

Second clean. At the grade, this is a pretty outrageous position and climbing up cool features. Rock isn't perfect, and access is a bit tricky now that the rap-tree has burned down, but for an easy route its worthy. Scoopy.

A rather stacked middle section of thin moves! Maybe hard at the grade (24ish?). A long pitch with continuous climbing and no camp-out stances. Obviously untrafficked (with all the usual caveats in such circumstances) but totally worthwhile. Technical!

2nd shot. Very thin, with some proper spicy runouts. Had a really good First shot (draws on, no beta) until I broke a footer off in the final crux, while doing the sequence correct . Went down next lap, but not without some fiery remarks. Stacked hard sequences with no rest. Maybe 25/26? Hard at the grade at least. Rock is a mixed bag.

2nd Clean at EOD to exit the crag. The route of the day for sure! Very sustained, unerringly thin, and probably the best rock I've seen on this wall. Probably entry-level 25 due to its relentlessness. Very complex moves. Really, the only negative is that the last 6m or so is not great rock.

2nd Clean. Much better than Advanced Air Studio in climbing and rock quality (though quite a fair bit harder and with less exposure). A long pitch that just keeps getting harder, with lots of technical thin moves up top. Probably rather sandbagged. Still 22 even for this part of the world, maybe even 23 by modern standards.
