Ascents in Blackheath Area by Jason McCarthy having sport-cpr or ascent-date

Wow what a journey. Somewhere around 8+ days of effort. Punted from the anchor on friday, sent as my warmup today. Has been so good to feel the progress in my climbing. Thanks a ton Lee Cujes.

Super cool long route on great rock. So many tricky sections, has at least 5 cruxes. Pretty happy to onsight this with near zero chalk and only placed a couple of random draws on rap, taking no notice of the the route.

Super cool roof bouldering. 3 days.

Started with the 2nd bolt clipped and my LH on the upper side pull (spent 2 days working the start a day couldn't touch it). After clipping the chains I finished up year of the gun for and awesome finish.

Draws up for 4+ months. Fires, floods and viruses. A gazillion attempts at the start. Fell off the finish 6 weeks ago and hadn't linked to the top since. So psyched to send this today.

Finally! One of the best at Shipley. Best conditions eva.

Stoked! One of the coolest routes I've climbed recently. Probably wont be as much value if your tall. Fell off the last move on my second shot today and sent 3rd. Thanks jenna for her beta advice without having been on it yet.

Two goes up this having a look. Couldn't fathom the dyno move or the move on the head wall to gain the thin flake. Well done Lee! Strong folk should jump on this.

2nd shot today after falling off the last move on Friday. Another cool route for this wall.

Draws up and sent 2nd shot. Pretty tricky crux but sticky conditions helped.

4th shot. Quite the bouldery route with awesome moves and pretty exciting with some average bolts.

Pretty fun route.

Awesome steep pumper with a sick big move in the middle. Touched the dyno on the flash and cruised it 2nd shot.

Way harder than it look from the ground. Has some real tricky moves. Quality climbing.

Pretty fun swinging around.

Punchy start and tricky finish. This is 24.

Ummm 26 going on 23. If you forced yourself to climb 30cm to the right for one bolt it would be 26 but if you climb the crimps just to the left of the bolt its much easier. Still a quality route but not at the grade.

Great climbing with a extremely hard crux.

Second 25 I have flashed. After watching Jenna, this went perfectly to plan.

Not sure about this one. Sure its a cool adventure but so ledgy and stop/starty. Easier than the 23.

Possibly onsighted in the past but hadnt logged and had no memory of climbing it. Super cool climbing with heaps of interesting moves and nothing too hard.

Slab climbing that's right it's a slap in the face, much complaining and whimpering . Needs a brush to make it nicer.

Few really tricky moves down low then mostly good holds and plenty of rests. The hanging arete was much easier than it looked from the ground. Another quality line but not as good as its neighbour.

Cool climbing with a few tricky bits.

Froze off on the flash. Crux is pretty goey if your shorter and cant use the right holds. Bit dirty, needed a bit of brushing.

Super steep and pumpy. Will get better with more traffic.

1st shot today. Feet blew right at the crux and just caught the jug. Great route.

So much action on this today. More progress using Paul's beta for the drop down.

Really happy to onsight this one. Pretty easy for the grade.

The only reason I didn't give this mega-classic is because it starts up rungs. Right now I can't think of a better 26 in the mountains, stellar rock quality and so so many tough awesome moves. I really struggled on this route and was so psyched to tick it.

Side point! Turns out 3 beers, late night and breathing lots of campfire smoke works wonders. Psyched for more progress.

5th Shot. Very bouldery start, awesome moves.

Draws up. A few goes over the last month. All moves up to the roof done. So sick!

Super exciting climbing. Loved it.

Repeat on 2nd getting out. Top pitch is not too bad way of getting out of there.

3rd shot. Cruisy fun climbing up to a tricky boulder. Worth getting on.

The best and hardest route I've climbed at Shipley. Definitely my proudest all time flash. An amazing amount of climbing with an epic finale!

Havent been on this for a couple of years. Didnt fall off the crux move today despite terrible conditions. Pretty psyched on this now.

Tunnel vision on the onsight and headed left at the top to one of the 22's traverse bolts. Lowered off and sent. Pretty much a one move wonder.

Psyched to tick this mega-classic that is really my anti-style. Could be the best arete in the mountains. 2nd shot today. 3rd visit over a couple of years.

2nd shot but had to really work for it. Long adventurous route with heaps of cool moves.

2nd shot. Really tough crux and crimping past it.

Great route. Exciting getting out right above the ledge. Had to pull hard through the crux. Just as hard as JP.

Really enjoyable top section on this route. I was pumped out of my mind.

Draws on and sent next shot. So good. Crux is not a issue for short climbers. Get on it.

Really fun but had to really work for it. No soft tick if your short.

Pretty simple climbing till the end. Pretty fun.

1st shot placing the draws came off at the crux (same as my original flash). 2nd shot had to work hard for the send. Great route and solid for the grade.

Wow what an effort I put into this one. I was absolutely peaking on the moves through and above the roof. Wicked route! 23?
