+5 stars for position -1 star for dirtiness -2 stars for the absolutely mingus jingus splingosity of a choss pile on the first pitch. -1 for the choss on pitch 2 Hence 1 star is accurate. After going up the Phoenix the grade 15 first pitch felt like nails, a sentiment potentially added to by the fact that less than 60% of the rock is load-bearing. Very much an access pitch, the fixed hand line is a goer! The second pitch has a rather exiting traverse which, whilst on good holds, felt stiff for 19. It then goes up the awesome feature that you came for. Tuck those knees into kneebars, shake those arms out and froth over the exposure! Matt lead this one finding himself a little bit off route and was relieved to find the ring bolt out to the left. He successfully climbed the whole pitch without gear for the brownpoint (similar to a green point but in reverse). This is very much not the recommended style for this route. The gear is possible but takes some finding. Not a lead for those just squeaking out 19s. Still... The exposure is so so so cool. Loved it! *NOT A CLIMB TO DO IF SOMEONE IS ON THE PHOENIX*

Had the cams so the time was right to try this old mixed route. Its not dissimilar all the other slabs in the area, good fun and pumpy. Sux about the sandy broken flake at the crux otherwise it would be classic.

Great route and some of the best rock in the bluies. Didn't bring wires so I am wondering if a ring on the access pitch would somehow make the world stop turning? Feels ok for 22.

Adventurous! Not much chalk, and it clearly doesn't get climbed much. A single 0.5 cam (purple) is all you need for this. As per the guidebook I took a tonne of gear up, and needed none of it. Sustained complex and varied sequences all the way up, separated by massive rests. The top crux is dissappointingly sandy, but features radical and improbable shouldery moves. The top roof was a waterfall today, which made for an exciting onsight.

Good fun - an airy rap to a reasonable ledge, and fun easy climbing to get out. Take a few pieces to supplement the bolts - and enjoy the view!

Was worried the sun would hit us, but instead it started to rain. A bit overhyped, and the only hard move was getting off the starting ledge without being able to reach the better holds. Then it was all over too quickly.

Lead as a single pitch. Amazing climbing up the flake systems with awesome moves in between. I feel like the crux moves were more like 22 than 21. Started way too far the right and took a much harder traverse line than i needed to access the 2nd pitch

Excellent climb for the grade. Abseil down leftwards, then back right to the belay. Not much trad gear needed as there are plenty of bolts. The final few metres under the roof is also very easy climbing

Great climbing at the grade. Rap in to semi hanging belay to climb back out. Clip some of the carrots on the way down. Makes it easier to reach belay bolts. Didn't end up use any trad gear. Fun easy climbing between spaced out bolts. Exciting rooflet finish

Cruisy and enjoyable! Not difficult in any way but enormously fun if you like jugs and views. Scramble down 3m into the cleft between two rocky outcrops and you’ll see two U-bolts in a cave to your right. The U-bolts face Gently Mine (on the far side of the walk down gully).
