Ascents in Devondale

Done this a few times TR solo, first time lead solo today. Takes a rack of small hexes, nuts and small cams. A #2 cam can protect horizontal near top of slab. A small black snake likes to hang out in first few metres of finger crack

I suggest about grade 15 (with a sense of adventure ;-) )

Cool little climb adjacent to the traverse. Hidden in a wet/muddie spot.

Seems a good project for endurance on steep terrain!

Luckily ran into someone to get the beta from. Great problem with a hard start to much easier moves. No idea on Vgrade but I feel like it would be a 4 at Camp Street.

Tiny tiny tiny dab! Hard crux to super pumpy climbing that gets easier and easier. My forearms were ready to explode at the end. Maybe 24 as without the boulder problem it’s 21ish climbing.

One big pop really. Quite cool. Only the grade with the right beta. Otherwise is much harder.

Flash attempt made it to the crux. Got the beta sorted for the crux, all moves are doable, but to link it all up? Needs some endurance training.

A rainy day so why not? Still need endurance.

Very likely climbed before. It's probably V2 compared with HHH at V4, but I reckon that's sandbagged.

It finally went! Countless sessions trying this. But the process and people you meet trying it are the best bit about this spot!

Awesome climbing and great endurance training. Worked all the sections then a few attempts coming off in the crux

Felt much better today. Was better when I treated attempts like tie ins on a sport route and rested for longer

Just chips please. 3 hard moves = V3

First after-work climb! Pumpy!! Gonna need a fair bit of work before I get this one
