Ascents in Walk-Down Gully

2nd pitch would be classic if cleaned, other pitches rubbish

with monteith. scrambled 1st pitch, monty led 2nd & 4th, but i got the long & awesome 3rd pitch.... sweeeeet 20m chimney/handcrack/fingerdrack to a rooflet & airy (slightly commiting) couple of face moves. then another 20m of NO gear and llloooooosssse rock, vertical mud, pine needles etc. (crampons might be useful?) semi hanging belayed of a couple shrubs. last pitch is a bit of suspect rock quality too, but not too bad & overall a great outing!!

Horrid final pitch. Chimney pitch is awesome.

Vague memory of a dirty gully..

Scary - Angie lead this not very used route for twopitches. The second pitch has no pro, a long traverse and eent up, and up..sofar that you lost sight of the leader and had to depend on rope movements.

Old-school. Easy climbing but traverse is mostly gear-free.

Keep some bigger gear for top of first pitch. With Mick the Fireman, swing

A good quality, well protected route. Not sure what the caution hand in the new guide book is all about.
