Ascents in West Face (Main Area) as Retreat

Bailed due to high winds. One of our group swears he saw a knagaroo.

Missing all the good holds and pumping out on soapy stuff. Had a proper fall near the start.

Had to poop. Probs scared considering the epic time I just had on its neighbour. Then it was time to go home. Oh well, until the next rainy summer's day in two years time (my current Binary Cave visit frequency)

Climbed the first two (linked together), then ran out of light and had to bail. Some beautiful moves and some dodgy rock, a bit more of a mixed bag than expecte really. The first pitch was quite classic, but the second sucked really. Will be back to check out the upper pitch later.

Found the 20m juggy grey wall below a small orange overhang. Grade 5 lichen jugs, ledge at 6m, vegetated crack at 8m so could be pro enough to go. Made 3 moves and retreated.

Not going to happen with wrist today.

Seems pretty plank at the first pitch, not sure if there just some holds broke, or this is just a little thin.

Last climb of the day, will come back with more light and time.

That crux is nails.

Pitch one was kinda crappy and since we were up there might as well have a jab at the second…

Couldn't pull the roof, maybe another time, kind of a hard draw to put on at the lip of the big roof

Had a scope out and got one draw higher. Really ups the difficulty from the first move off the anchor! Looks mega and one to come back to when I have a little more wizardry!

Had a bit of a go since draws on. Gave up just before gaining head wall.

Beyond my grade but fun to work through moves. Got scared halfway.

Retreated around the cruz move.

Couldn't do the move going over the lip so i gave up.

Urgh.

Crazy good climb, though only managed to get up a bit past half way before fear got the better of me and the pump was too much

Wasn't keen on pulling through crimp crux

Bailed after getting too pumped to hold anything attempting to clip the last bolt. First day climbing in 2 months - depressingly weak!

Bailed at the thin bit. Not having a great day tbh.

Whipped on the crimpy bit 2/3rds up, went home

Aborted due to soaking wet holds and rain near the top.

Pulled a damn muscle in my neck as I was going up from the 3rd (?) bolt. Think it was the combo pressing down and reaching up move. Had to bail. Keen to try again next time.

Nails start. Went back to the easier variant.

Hmmm, pretty solid! Had to bail, as neither of us could work out the crux, after crossing over exile and its probably 25 to there...

Bit stiff for me at the moment.

Did P1, then found that the rest was still soaked. Chose to bail, rather than struggle with bolt plates on wet holds

Punchy crux. End of day exhaustion made my hands open on the crux holds... wasn't me, honestly...

Still can't do the move at the roof.

Second pitch was thin as! In full sun after doing another multi this was too much like hard work. Keen to get back on this when I am stronger and in better conditions.

Started promising but bailed towards the top of P2 as properly wet.
