Ascents in Sunnyside as Attempt

A bit too zorched this go - fell mid-headwall.

Draws were on so why not. Couldn't do the move from the two finger pocket

Gave it two working attempts. Can do like 50% of the moves in the opening 7m sustained boulder crux, but even those I can't do easily. Not a chance of any real linkage for me. Seems short, intense, bouldery, technical and hard. The top half is quite easy.

No idea what to do above 1st bolt. There’s 3 sidepulls a meter apart all in the same direction. I would need beta spoonfeeding to have any chance 😋

Bolt to bolt, had a play, had a fun fall!

Rushed the pumpy bit and fell off. Dogged the big undercut move. Grabbed the second bolt above the ledge to avoid a potential ankle-breaker. Did a few more moves with increasing rope drag caused by incompetent ropework. Threw in the towel. Would be much more enjoyable with a DBB at the ledge for re-threading or just doing the bottom half (preferably placed high enough to yard up and clip the next bolt to avoid the ankle-breaker). There are in-situ screwgates on the 2nd and 3rd bolts above the ledge that might have been left for this purpose (but then why not put them on the 1st and 2nd bolts?). Might try it again if I can work up enough enthusiasm.

Yeah, I’ve got no endurance on things this steep.

Suuuuper cool to watch. Couldn’t get out of the roof after the little cave (high heel hook up to side pull flakey thing)

Messed up the sequence at the 2nd crux, but was told a more direct beta. Also got the knee barks sorted.

Way above my paygrade, couldn’t even stick the first move of the steep section from the big pocket/jug to the sidepull.

flashed the 24 first part, then good rest. got up into the crux on flash but got absolutely boxed and shut down on the crux move getting out of the top of the corner. Would have got smashed on the end anyways as its still a pumpy mother getting into the pod and the rest

on the second shot was totally powered down and got smashed by the lower crux before the ledge. got to the crimp exit move again but needed more fitness to set it up and stick it. should be ok now after a couple of months of better fitness

First crux move for me was over the first lip into the right side pull jug. After that it’s more of a power endurance game and finding kneebar rests. Top part gets pumpy.

Not actually sure if this one was the one i tried, but it definitely had a few small crimpers and some poorly placed tick marks!

Fell off at the crux so lowered off

I got to just past halfway I think - such great moves & all quite doable.

Decent. Definitely an enjoyable climb with a handful of tricky moves.

Nice climb but I couldn’t overcome the pump on this. Bit busted after Seamstress. Keen for next shot

Lovely moves in the bottom half. It felt quite easy, but I was too pumped from earlier climbs. It tells me I'm way out of shape...

Took a long time to figure out where the line goes due to all the routes squeezed in here. Feeling weak today.

Juggy and pumpy

Flash-pumped trying to warm up on this thing.

Got so pumped, will get it clean next time.

Started working the moves on this but got stuck at the crux. Found a shorty knee bar to skip the sloper but skin was pretty cooked by that point to keep going.

Dogged my way to the last bolt before the chains

Had a crack on lead. Struggled at the crux and pumped out towards the top. Amazing line!

Didnt dare to commit to the moves above the third draw. Will be back

Tougher than an 22. Trady-Crack climby start with greasy black feet. Bailed off

After the storm hit, went for my proper attempt. Was so happy with how I was climbing but the top was just a torrential waterfall. Slipped off some easy jugs going to the anchors. Gutted, have to come back.

Slightly heartbreaking insight attempt, fell the last move before the chains.
