pretty sick day out First outdoor crack, first trad lead in blueys, ended up essentially an aid climb as I worked it all out. Loved it Will come back for it once I’ve worked out how to crack climb thanks to pat for his most recent belay in my streak of hour+ leads.

Got into a sport climbing mindset (it's almost all bolted) and then realized I was about 6m past my last draw and really should find something to place a cam. 1st 'proper' trad lead, the two roofs are good for getting in the head space on gear. Will bring a #4 (or find a 5) next time to not have to use bolt around first roof. Great climbing.

Ah Somhow forgot how to put on bolt plates and they kept falling off. I freaked out and tried to just use gear but the only big pro was still to small. Backed out. Will go back with a bigger piece and not forget how to put on bolt plates

Went to the crux on Shakes and Flakes, and it looked easier to the left. Ended up on this route pulling over a rooflet to tiny crimps...too hot for thin lines in 32 degree heat with direct sun!

Think I should have called it a day instead of attempting this. Very sore and tired, shoes were killing me, but I'm glad I saw how fun this would be to climb properly. Shut down at the early thin crux. Gave it some attempts before the feet were in too much pain, so I french-freed my way to the top. Need to come back and give it a proper go, because all of the sections are fun and challenging.

Only really worked the first 5 bolts - all the moves went there and the final roof is easy too. Crux looked hard, didn't really try it. A windy, shivering day, but not as cold as when it was bolted! 70m rope lowers from 2nd-last bolt, but there's still a 5 meter exit ramp after that.

More consistent at grade than Toads. Decent gear in groove, but care needed for first bit after BR off ledge. Sanity clip last bolt of Wazzakstan. Move off ledge probably harder if short. Not really suitable for 13 leader.
