Ascents in Wentworths Gully

Hands functioned on this one. Not too desperate. Sport. With Niall.

Enjoyable, nothing desperate.

Reasonable route....worth a lap.

Pinged off a crimp around the 3rd bolt.

Assumed it was a 16, when I started leading, it was not.

The climb turns into a lovely native moss garden after the short corner.

Missing from The Crag description is that you're meant to head right to use the bolts in the moss garden. That would've been great info on the day.

had a problem with the second bulge but otherwise good climbing. bottom is quite chossy, makes for an exciting first clip.

CAUTION, between clip 3 and 4 the protruding boulder on left of line moved by a mm or two when my partner pulled on it. Potential for this to come loose and seriously injur some one.

Was physically angry at how shit the bolting on this route was for the grade, until Anthony Cuskelly went after me and found the two invisible carrots I missed. Lol. Quite a nice route after all.

Nice climb

Poor rock quality. Wouldn't recommend. You're better off doing anything else around this.

Through some harder bulges to great climbing above. Definitely better than 1 star.

Missed the cam placement, but it wasn't bad running it out (all easy). Big move from ledge for a shorty.

High second bolt for shorties

Nice climb, good for the grade. Few longer gaps between carrots to keep you on your toes. Wouldn't hurt to climb with some cams, for peace of mind. We climbed three climbs in the area at this grade on this day, and this was the only one that wasn't nails for the grade. This was the first of the three and this 17 was graded adequately.

A bit of corner, wall, crack and roof, with veg ledge in between.

Yet barely had I set up belay and the Acolyte reached The Gold Standard, than a piercing thunderclap prompted hasty retreat into our caves, ere our aluminium friends, acting as conductors of divine power, rendered us insensible to the abrupt following deluge, which itself rendered further progresss impossible. Elements 1, Humanity 0, no extra time.
