A little harder than an 11, packs a lot in such a short route. Layback, stemming, face climbing seems to have it all.

3 carrots & bailed …..blecchhh

Bots are hard to see from the ground. Bring a cam to protect the run out between 2nd and 3rd carrot. Aborted at 3rd carrot as no viable feet on the side the marginal holds require. High chance of taking a spill and breaking an ankle on the ledge. Abort.

Traversed in from the right as I could not seem get a left foot to stick direct. Had some extra thoughts of beta after I hopped off.

a little sandy and a few holds crumbling still but a fun onsite! Had no idea what route i was actually doing at the time but guessed it as grade 20.

the horizontal break was very sandy and made things quite difficult.

with a good plan and clean holds, it was much more doable.

Contrived crux, with the crux holds being coverd by a 1cm dirt layer.

Last bolt seems to be in a random spot. Removed a big loose rock I was tempted to pull on until I felt it move. Enjoyed the traverse

Wanted to attempt on lead but was concerned about the third bolt as so far away from ledge. As I am only 157cm with a minus 7 ape index, I was not comfortable with clipping that bolt. I ultimately did this as a second and was correct about the reach to the third bolt being a bit much for me. On lead, it would have been impossible for me to clip that bolt and could have ended up with a very dangerous fall. The top was slabby and sandy. A large bush in the way and made it difficult to get around. Ended up going straight up. I vastly enjoyed the first section of the route.

Beautiful traverse, nice roof pocket, good crimpy matched feet to side pulls. Then strange awkward but fun hug around and up the arete. Then it gets sandy vegetation. Overall good funky fun climb!
