Ascents in Fort Knox having Beta

bit of a perplexing crux (stick your leg in the hole!). 2nd go.

My first trad, great fun

a bit short lived unfortunately, steep start on loose blocks.

Old line bolted by Nick Wagland. Since the crux is a mantel, and to honour the original bolter, I decided to call it 'The Wagland Mantel'. I am proposing a grade of 25 but I will wait for consensus.

Cool little climb. Awesome pockets and cracks to muck around with. Wish it was longer.

Good easy climbing, great for beginners for sure.

Only thing left to climb in the rain. What a gem of a climb at this grade. Beautiful rock.

Was an abandoned project in the cave past pooh wall long and hard!!!

Brilliant first ascent Nick very long steep and committing route excellent more lines need to go up in that cave though

Spectacular climb. Best by far at Fort Knox. Bouldery start, tricky crux, steep finish. Loved it.

Very strange climbing on super hard weirdly featured rock to an easy finish - very hard to onsight. Not my style.

My fav climbing the coffs area. Has it all - shouldery bouldering, reachy technical moves and a slap of glory. The ledges rob it of perfection but otherwise a brilliant route

Warm up climb. I've never used or even seen the 'carrot' style of bolt in a wall but I had heard of them so I guess I got lucky because I'd just bought a handful of removable bolt plates a few weeks back( I sensed i would need them). It might be worth adding the carrot status of the climbs to the crag info area. "a handful of quick draws and a handful of bolt plates for a fun day out"

First climb of the 40 degree heat wave...climbing in direct sun. Not smart!

Seemed much easier than a 15, even in sneakers.

Very nice climb with friendly bolting. May be a bit soft for 15.

Last climb of the day, all knackered but needed a photo of me climbing shirtless. The moves are really fun for a 15, feels like you're climbing in, out, around and over things. Anchors hiding in a bowl formation just behind a white tree.

Good fun moves. Ideal for getting the head into the leading game

A second go the next day to make sure the first was not a fluke

First lead.

No bolt plates, had to use nuts on carrots

Shame about the sand, the moves are great

Makes a good warm up. Well bolted too.

over rated. only gets traffic because the rest of the routes are trad or carrot bolted.

Had another go to try help my Lady with beta, climbed it differently, didn't help at all
