Ascents in Shadow Glen

interesting. would be good if it wasnt hot and greasy. now i know the way will go in a flash in good weather...if i ever come back....

short and thin. Probably a good first 25 for someone.

Thin and technical but short.I added a bolt and chains so its independent climbing.

What a sequence! A long one too. Super thin!

Probably should have just gone for the onsight, but I did a toprope burn first after climbing Kitch, then sent first go. I didn't bring the right size cam for the top, so ran it out to the anchor. For reference, a yellow C3 probably would have fit.

Will be back for this high ball. Unique crux 👌. I found a 0.2 Z4 was enough to protect the last wander to the chains, but not needed. Only 1 working shot today, finger issues seam a thing if the past.

nice climbing. first bolt was loose!did it up by hand! needs rebolting...

One shot, and about ten falls, to figure out the lunge. Easy once you know how.

This period was the nadir of my climbing career (so far at least). Strong after a month's climbing at Araps, I headed up to Shadow Glen with Jon for a day's climbing and I insighted all except this one - damn! Came unstuck clipping the 2nd bolt and took my biggest lead fall to date. Would really liked to have had that onsight tick to my credit.

Tricky sequence and delicate footwork up to the second hanger.

hasnt had any traffic for a long time, slopey footers and top out were slippery and dirrrrtyyy. real good though.
