	10	★★ Threadneedle - with Alex Holroyd 1 10 35 Trad 2 10 25 Trad The first move out of the cave was fairly easy, lulling me into a false sense of security. Moving up to the first ledge proved to be more of the same until coming to the following ledge. I noticed a funky looking protrusion of jugs, and decided this was my route. The moves were awkward from the start, and left me almost laybacking. It was when I reached for the next chicken head that disaster struck - the hold cleanly breaking, followed by panic, grabbing the giga jug below me to which it decided that day that it too would snap off. I fell to the ledge, rolling backwards, falling to the next ledge, luckily saved - not so much by the gear - but by my landing in a seated position at the edge of the ledge. Dazed and in shock, I sat there for a few minutes with Alex checking on me every now and then. With the shock wearing off, I continued to the end of the pitch. It wasn’t done in an R1, but it was done in tights. A classic misadventure involving hommus and an odd sense of fashion. An excellent way to climb threadkneedle, especially for those with an aptitude for going off route… anyways what a climb! One of my favourites in Gariwerd for sure (what can I say I’m a sucker for the old classics)

Wow! Led the 2nd pitch and that is classic by itself! Awesome climbing all the way. Route finding is interesting and keeps you thinking! Awesome climb. Awesome runouts.

Very fun easy tradventure. Cave belay was cool, the moves out of it were sufficiently protected if you're creative. Just managed to link P2 and P3 with my 68m rope with both rope anchors. P4 was well worth it, had by far the steepest climbing I've done anywhere near this grade on massive jugs. Only loses 3rd star for lack of exposure on the upper pitches.

I lead 1/2 as one pitch, Taner lead 3/4, then I lead pitch 5. Went a little too far right on the second pitch and was scary, but just enough gear to keep sane. We couldn't find the redirect for the rap (we tailed an extra rope) so taner had to traverse across to the top of pitch 2. Not sure if we're muppets and the redirect below the top anchor should be easy to find but /shrug.

Came directly up the 22 below the boulders and fell off that. I stick-clipped the start of pitch 2 and was thankful I did when I fell off the first bouldery moves to the bolt...not 21 IMO - climbed the rest clean - necky. Clean all other pitches...pitch 3 the fave.
