Ascents in Flat Rock having Beta

Interesting climb, thought it was stiff for the grade, but I may have been out of sequence... It was early!

Spicy finish I thought, Caroline Chang made it look easy though!

Maybe it’s because I’m not warm and didn’t use my feet well but I seriously had to fight for that.

Delicate moves diagonally left then trying to avoid the escape onto the arête moving right to the rings.

I remember 'down-leading' this to clean it.

I really like this one! Holds kill the hands a bit but they're otherwise great.

Take care on this, bolts need replacing. Most of the fixed hangers were loose. Tried tightening with a shifter but the bolts were spinning in the holes. Not good... Avoid outwards pulls on the bolts.

Enjoyed the crux section on this, stepping out onto the arete was cool.

A gem hidden among the brush. Really lovely corner finger crack and fun traverse. Nice juggy topout left me with a big ol' smile

Technically it felt more like a 14, however the rock did not seem very solid at many places so I had to he very careful with the gear placement. I left a maillon on the bolt at the end to lower down since there are no chains.

Nice warmup, ending felt fine - the start was the hardest for me but maybe that’s just cause it’s the first one today.

Weird. Took me a a couple minutes to get past one section but got there in the end. Not the best for a warm up. MOAB might be better for that.

Pretty solid at 17 and pretty bloody good! This is a nice low to mid grade crag. Perfect for the active rest day.
