Ascents in West Flank having Beta

Feel as though no one knows this exists? Got some interesting looks walking through West Flank with two pads. Got very close to sticking the dyno, but took too much time to figure out the movement for it and the pocket is pretty sharp (RIP skin). Amazing line and one to come back to... eventually.

FFA. Seven years and countless days in the making. Bushfires, multiple surgeries, broken bones, Covid and it finally went down.

I'm too weak for this pocketey nightmare. Super fun to try though

Great route. Pockets are better than they look from the ground

Made it to the 3rd bolt but couldn't clip it so down climbed and stick clipped it, worked out how to clip it and carried on to 4th bolt, played around here for a while eventually getting into the first pocket and going up to the second, next time aiming to hit the first pocket clean and make the move to the second pocket (may need some stronger fingers though?)

Powerful crux with amazing climbing either side. So fun. Did all the moves in my very short hang dog on the only rest day at the gramps. Would love to come back for this.

Getting up to the crux felt much much easier this time and with a few pointers from Scotty I was able to do all the crux moves, lowering off at the bolt after the canpusing. Definitely on the list of things to do now! Stuck the drive by first attempt off a sit.

Went up to suss how the moves feel on a 29… they felt bloody nails. 😂 Couldn’t do any of the “hard” moves, think 29 is still a ways off for me.

Had another whirl on this a few weeks back with G with the goal of going to the top, made it and top rope cleaned after. This time I did all the moves to get the draws on pretty quick then tried to iron out the crux a bit. Got a new high point day 1 and came back Sunday had 2 burns, got the same high point (fell on drive-by both times) and second time went to the top clean after pulling back on for the 1 fall ascent

Beautiful line, had one more session since the last log but couldn't be bothered typing it up.

Put the draws on yesterday but was way too spooge then, first burn fell at my Redpoint Crux for the 6th time, second burn stuck it for the first time but hit it poorly and feel adjusting it. 3rd burn stucket like a bucket and enjoyed the rest of the victory lap to the chains 😊

Must be about my third day on this and time to start documenting attempts. Rapid progress across three widely spaced days. Initially the crux moves felt kind of impossible and way harder than 29. I’ve since managed to do the moves (last session) and today made awesome links through crux, nearly stringing it all together. Need to get on it a bit more regularly and start having proper attempts from the ground

After a clunky warm up, I managed to one hang it. Strung the full crux together and took it to the top, just need to add the start now! Psyche is high

Really fun and surprising wild, Great journey that kept me working the whole way! So pumped I thought I was going to drop every move, thankfully there were enough rests! Very worthwhile

Great, amazing, beautiful climb! From 'impossible' to 'doesn't actually feel that bad' in ~8 attempts. Once I figured out the reachy stopper move, this french climb got out the white flag =)

Very hard crux. A 2 star classic that Is only very good... Is that allowed?

Did worse than the last time I think. With some beta and a plan I'll give this another go next time,

Decided it's a tall persons climb even though I couldn't hold the crimps even if I could reach them.

Stiff skineater... But should go with fresh skin.

Quite a nice route! Worked out the crux at the top of the flake, then had a few goes at the crimpy moves after the traverse

My favorite 25 ever (super hard for the grade). I worked out all the moves. Dreaming of putting them all together in one go!

Closer this time. I left it in one fall in the traverse after getting the crux and very excited to go back
