Ascents in Waterfall

A couple more goes, feeling a lot better on the lower section and sorted the finish but still missing a solution to the crux as Daves bridge solution leaves me too low.

Still baffled by a 2 m section. Getting some linkage. I think we need to work on presses.

Rpt. Quite a tricky one

finally back on this after a long time, not through want of trying. Quite greasy conditions today. Dave making much better progress

Rpt, enjoyable 3 d climbing, probably deserves anchors after all the trees burnt a few years back

Lovely bridging and down palming up the corner. Broke a hold while resting which sent me flying but otherwise clean. Cool way to end first Kaputar trip.

Dude. This thing was an absolute nemesis of mine for so long. I swear it was cursed. Six month ago this felt absolute limit, but now after a long break and a bunch of screaming in my dingy home gym, it felt very smooth and well within limit. Fuck. Yes.

My first ever Trad lead! So stoked! Onsighted on top rope a few months ago, so happy to come back and lead it finally!

Oh man, fell at the last bolt again. I have to say though, last time I tried this was 6 months ago and back then this felt completely at the limit. Fast forward to now and it felt waaay within margin and very smooth. All that stopped me was a bit of a misstep with the feet right at the end that i couldn’t backtrack and fix. But I suppose not having been on it in 6 months that’s forgivable. Always nice to feel some improvement.

Another go today. There’s still a 2m section I can’t do. Dave’s beta doesn’t seem to work. He’s done all the moves, but doing it clean is the hard part.

Still a bit perplexed what to do for the move after the “ jug” over the roof. I end up horizontal if I try Dave’s method of palming in a massive bridge. The rest is possible, but feeling 27 ish to put it all together.

Has got pretty dirty up top, but climbs ok. The bouldery direct start looks interesting

Alzheimer’s flash

Took a bit of cleaning. Unfortunately Robin and John’s bolts are within clipping distance in the lower half, though the crux and above is pure trad, mostly small to medium wires. The old single bolt needs replacing and anchors would be good. will add to the to do list. 23/24 maybe. It too k a number of tries to sort out

Hardest sport lead so far! Great climb with a well defined crux, stoked to tick it off on my second attempt.

Fuaaak me this thing is cursed. I’ve had 3 different sessions where 3 different footholds have broken in the crux, so I’ve had to figure out new beta each time. It’s making me start to bring into question the grade but I don’t want to give myself a cop out excuse, I dunno. One hung it today after figuring out the new beta AGAIN lol.

Adding some ascents from a while back, one of my first sport leads!

Top roped to the last bolt then lead the last little bit to the anchors

Ah man, really felt like it’d go today. Fell right up top twice again. Did figure out a slightly easier method for the last hard moves that have been spitting me off so that’s something. Still disappointing

2 sessions. Fell at the last bolt twice fuaaaaak. Feels way smoother now so hopefully next sesh.
