Ascents in The Outcrops

Robbed myself of a nice trad insight as I went off route. The bridging move was the start of going off route. Should have comitted to the rock over move and trusted my gear. Good gear for a belay at the top.

Oops finished up Soliloquy, rather than lead the roof

Looking at gear placement. Seems pretty well protected - excellent small green nut in side pull and a shallow yellow cam before crux - awkward to place but can easily downclimb to ground after. Yellow offset post-crux below big ledge. Nothing worthwhile can be placed from ledge, but but easy climbing to shallow red cam about 2m above (pointless?) then about 20cm further to good purple cam in horizontal slot. Top-out very well protected with either opposed yellow offset+purple nut, or small blue cam

Last lead on this one a bit haphazard- this one much better - happy

Full of interest - overhangs, awkwardness, parallel cracks
