Ascents in Car Park Boulders having Beta

Pulled on with encouragement from Cal and volo, very fun, onto the life list

Been a while, still cannot do it. Found some different beta though.

Had a few decent attempts working through this. Go the right hand slap and managed to get a high left foot with some wise words from Volo (something like try and look as angry as possible )

Found this one quite awkward and didn't really fancy it

Bomber jams. Very nice although the tree branch in the way made it interesting.

Easy if tall

Strong dislike for this climb and its tiny invisible feet...

Balancy little problem.

No idea on grade. V5 seems a bit much in comparison to the area. Definitely committing. Felt holds without pads then sent on first real attempt.

Really enjoyed this one, some interesting balance and a committing top but good fun.

Had used up my courage elsewhere. Will be back

Just for fun. Got up into a kneebar and underclings and almost touched the hold up high right. Suprised how far I got

A bit of fun at the end of the day

Starts off really nice, but then the jams get a bit rattly and I just can't commit over the bulge. Tree branch removed

Finally managed to reach my finger tips up over the lip. Then it is all over. Really good to tick this one.

Took a few goes to remember the beta and trust the feet.

yeeeew! after a fair few sessions on this it felt great to get it ticked, on a chilly morning with frost on the ground and a mini freak out on the top im psyched to get it done

Oooh very happy to land this. Tried a few more times with the thought of the V4 link-up but erm it was not happening.

Ouch.

So good I did it twice.

Oh no. I broke it. Sad. Was feeling good about this too and then on my second shot I pulled off a crucial hold. It might go with a start further right but it’ll add a grade or two. Broken hold is tucked away at the base of the boulder directly below where it used to live.

Boom ! Yarrowyck classic in the bag, feels closer to 7 for me definitely a benchmark at the grade in my opinion, took a few sessions spread over last year or so. Found new beta that unlocked the crux. It’s definitely not over till your on top that mantle is spicy. Skin and conditions dependent for sure.
