Ascents in Mt Yarrowyck by Brendan Heywood

So I jumped on this thinking it was Go-pher guts, because I thought the other crack further left was Masquerade which turns out to be an unclimbed crack.

Totally spanked me, this is my second day on rock since the A2. Lots of dogging / aid and then finished up 'Go-Pher guts'. It's a great route

Fun and quite featured

The starting moves on this are ace, the whole route is wicked. Popped off on the last hard move out left before the top, with beta finished it easily

Grovelly start is entertaining, a few solid jams and it's over. I stopped on the ledge and sussed out what I later figured out to be 'Maybe' which looks great. Then instead of finishing the crack I face climbed the pockets on the undulating wall

Pretty cruisy, crack is a little gravelly

Real cool little line. Was expecting a fight but flashed it and felt solid all the way

A mix of slab and jams from tips to fists, nice finish to glory jug

Rapped off to film Michael, had to bail before I had a go

Glad I found this again after possibly more than 10 years since doing it with Bruce. After Ben got up, he found a baby goat at the top out! So retro naming the problem fluffy the goat also in honor of Bruce's goat story.

Had a bunch of attempts, very close. My skin has gone soft from water polished granite

Had a couple goes, the coarseness was not inspiring

Had a good solid few cracks and very close. Took shoes off as the sun set. Found second wind, shoes on, and had a few more cracks and was super close to a resend but just running out of skin and called it

First try of the day, love this

First problem of the day, felt a twinge in my right middle 2 fingers so backed off

Felt thin and abrasive at the end of the day

Just pure hand jamming joy. I remember being so scared of this forever ago

Didn't quite pull on, quite a strong right hand move and didn't want to push the finger

Made the top harder than it should be by missing things

Didn't try the sit start, pulled on standing and got onto the slab and should have finished it but jumped off

Had a few cracks but borderline unhappy finger.
