Ascents in Central Tablelands having Beta

Long corner to the main (lookout) butress up overhanging nose on big jugs

Above lower terrace on free standing block - the obviuos keyhole facing N

Nice short walk to the summit lookout but nothing worthwhile to climb - no clear lines, just lots of scattered scrambly rocks. There was something resembling a line on the right side (looking out from the lookout), but still very short and heavily covered in moss and as to not be worth the effort. Tidied up some junk that had been dropped from the lookout, so not all for nothing at least

Up obvious corner on lower terrace to belay around chockstone (hex/cam placement + sling).

Going left for the down climb is tricky and fun.

Super cool line and moves. Shame the rock quality is ordinary

Insanely awkward start into ok crimps. Needed a lot of power towards the top

Finally got this!!! Hang board training pays off. Relaxed hands through first half, drop knee to stick the movement through the crux, then head game for the send up thin times.

Very cool. Wrong bodies you a bit. Struggling to commit/pull off top move to (theoretically) good hold.

Great climb on thin holds. Loved it!!!

Great fun! After grading it V2, once you have it dialed I question if it should be down graded (like all the climbs I put up... ) Will be good to have lots of people come through all the bouldering here at Pine Rocks and add their opinion on grades.

Cool moves down low into nice Huck for jug

Came back after a week of sitting on some improved beta and it went surprisingly easy

Really hard few moves in the middle (with my beta). Will be good to get others opinion on the grade. My beta is: R undercling, L crimp, L toe cam, R bumping up to high bad crimp (I’m very tall), R toe texture out right, L toe just under on point, R heal hook on rail, R hand up to jug…. Not sure if that will help anyone.

Will be my second ever 21 if the grade is correct… 🤷‍♀️

cool climb when i finally worked out how to get up. turns out the little point for the right foot is pretty pivotal. ignored the crimps formed by broken rock in the start section cause they didn't exist last time i was here

Fun boulder problem. Make sure that your belayer is on point.

This is now on my project list. Burnt up a heap of energy down low, and gased out mid way through crux. With the correct beta would love to hit it again!

Still hard moves but once it’s dialed it gets easier with good hip movement. Still a 21 …

First ascent. Went easier than expected but I had the moves down. Used knee pads to take load off some moves. It sure if it’s a 20.. Great climb at any rate!

I climbed it a little too far to the right. So I wouldn’t say I climbed the intended route. Would love to red point correctly next time.

The rock resisted right til the end. Not over after the slopey laybacking. A good little fight overall that would collect more stars if it were longer

reachy jugs on somewhat flakey rock.

First climb on the glue ins. Harder than I expected. 2nd clip is scary but bolt had to be this high to get solid rock. Cool climb though.

On concrete screws to check bolt placement.

23+ Needs other climbs to figure out grade but this is the hardest ascent I’ve ever done. Many many top rope solo sessions to get all the beta. 1st attempt today fell due to a couple of mistakes in beta. Got it second go today. So stoked!!!

First time I’ve gotten it top rope solo. Had energy to spare which was great!

Can't claim the onsight because you get a chance to look at half the holds on the approach down

Thought it was a 14 and was going to suggest could be a 16 while sitting here above the anchors. ☺️

Could be a 17. Forgot how cool it is.
