Ascents in Illawarra and Shoalhaven by Matt Schimke having sport-cpr or ascent-date

Decided to do the left hand start considering the direct has had a hold break recently, glad I made this choice. Draws on onsight. Classic face climbing with no rest until near the top, and then still some hard moves after that. Happy to squeak in the onsight.

Great steep pulling. Bit much for a warm up but managed to find the right sequence.

Had a great flash attempt and fell slapping for the jug at the end of the crux. This is a superb wall with consistently great movement. (2)

I really enjoyed this one. Nice and dry as well. Onsighted up to last bolt and mucked up the sequence. Pretty easily second go (2).

What a climb! Diverse movement and great features

Love this climb, varied with some great jugs at the top.

Dangerous with ledge fall potential most of the climb. Wouldn't bother.

Awesome climbing, some fragile rock which should clean up in time.

Had a play on this after sending Still Life. Got all the moves okay, linking them would be another story. Might come back!

For a short route it packs a punch! Thought I was in for a chance on the second go but managed to give myself a terrible calf cramp at the third bolt. Looking forward to trying this again.

After falling off the left version I opted for this version for the send. Nice flake feature and still pumpy

Great sequence on this one, packs a lot of good climbing into its modest length.

Fell off at the second bolt with a foot slip and then went easily to the top. Second go I fell off the last move..... Still took a bit of work to tick this third go. Strange climb, firstly I hated it and then I grew to like it the more shots I had. (3).

Interesting position on the arete. There are a couple of no fall zones on this.

Balancy and thin crux. Nice warm up.

Glad I had a flash attempt, even with generally low route fitness from very little route climbing. Flashed to second last bolt and fell off with bad beta. Worked out the better way of doing the crux and went through to top. It was going into the sun so we didn't get a chance for a second shot. Looking forward to trying it again.

Wet, moist day. Climbed up to about halfway and then the moisture put me off. All moves done easily but would definitely need to work on my endurance to get this.

Great climbing. Far left climb. Strange bolting in this area, hard to follow where the lines go because the bolts dont always follow the obvious climbing. This was probably the best climb on this wall.

Tricky climb, the top corner is amazing rock and hard to read. Really had to think about the movement whilst climbing.

Tried again at the end of the day. Could barely pull the moves.

Classic long route, interesting the whole way.

Also pretty tricky in humid conditions. This one is nice!

Had the option of going out right to the flake or going left into the slightly contrived crux and I decided on the crux. Fell off at the end of the crux just before jug. Balancy. Didn't try this version again but I will come back in the future for the send.

Great movement, Found the move at the second clip really physical and that the third clip quite hard. Keen to gain some fitness and come back for this one.

This gets 19 in the guide, I agree. This again is strangely bolted. Starts just right of gilead on an awkward corner feature. Hot in the sun.

Great continuous climbing.

Should probably just share the final bolt of the route to its right rather than having a bolt half a meter away. Ok climbing.

First half is average, second half really makes up for it!

Great moves for such a small climb. Both my hands cramped badly so I had to have a rest to sort that out. From there to the top easily. Looking forward to coming back to this one.

Got a cramp in my arm and couldn't clip the anchor, took a little whip instead.
