Ascents in Lane Cove

fun route, downclimb for this rock is a little sketch though. I went for a compression downclimb against the cliff, but realised later there are a whole bunch of metal spikes (foundations from construction?) sticking out of the ground. Be careful. Might even be safer hang-dropping onto the pads where you climbed.

Weak rock. Evidence of undercling hold breaking.

Wish I didn't have to do this to get down.

Sweet climb. Make sure to clean out the sandy pocket first

Flashed the layback. Jamming hurts.

I don't have the no hands beta... Totally handed it.

Fingers don't fit.

I shall return, with shoes and a brush.

Crack gloves came in handy.

I'll need another session to figure this out I think.

3rd session and finally sent it. Ugly beta and a mouthful of leaves but got there in the end.

Went for a repeat to make sure it wasn't a fluke.

Worked it out over 2 sessions, one on top rope. There will be a harder variation going straight up the left side, too suss/slopey for me though!
