Ascents in The Grotto Cliffline as Red point by Max Gordon

Third shot after realising smearing my right foot would be the game changer. Feels more like a boulder problem than a sports route but i'd happily do it every time I'm around.

With my Dad on belay, i sent on my second attempt of the day, stoked!

One working go, then first redpoint attempt. After pulling through the crux sequence i had the worst Elvis leg i've ever had, i just couldn't keep the king away haha

If i did this right it's just one tough move then back to jug hauling

Not knowing about the variant, i didn't even consider going direct through the crimps. I'll just have to come back to this one... which i don't mind

The hardest 21 I've done to date, the first 4 metres is nails. One of those climbs you can be relieved about once you actually send it.

Glad to have finally stopped donating skin to the crux of this route. Second shot but have tried in the past multiple times. A change of beta always does the trick.

A bit soft for an old Rod Young route.
