v7 boulder? First 28 stoked.

1st 28 (5.13a). Bouldery fun.

So stoked to have ticked this route! First got on it 2011, dislocated my shoulder as it branches right, took 2 years off climbing, couldn't do it last year, broke my ankle this year and finally ticked it today in primo conditions. Finally, the 4 nowra 28's are done!

Really fun steep climbing. Looks like a flake has broken off just before the anchors The last move still goes and isn't too bad, but makes it a bit more sustained with the break

Felt like a dream pulling the moves as the sun went down and the wall glowing orange. Probably the hardest of the four 'classic 28s' but boy what a climb! Powerful and sustained climbing on slopey crimps. Rad.

So damn nice! One of my fave 8's at Nowra. Once on the lip it's 13 moves of glory.

Thin and hard! I finally got the heel move down pat - it just doesn't work until you push your toe right down. From there it's thin as fuck to the break! Just motor down and keep going! I did it in two halves but not close to linking it.

Best shot was my first but fluffed it after the crux by just missing a hold! My last shot of the day, I made it a move and a half further but couldn't pull the holds. I feel like it's close!

My heel kept slipping out of the heel-hook after I'd latched the next hold. Maybe had something to do with attempting it in socks and shoes. As soon as I made it past I made it to the top! Definitely hardest 28 to date.

Punchy. very cool moves on the lip. Thought it wouldn't go in the sun but a send breeze came to the rescue! 3rd shot on the day

Burly! Putting the draws on it was so hard to imagine just holding on to clip. Managed to send on the second redpoint attempt - I found a solid heel toe cam right where I needed it at the crux!

One to come back for!

Bullen & Broadfoot, two strong units.

Finally dogged my way up this mega classic! The main sequence feels hard, but within the realms of possibility. Needs a bit more work before it'll go.

super cool compression climbing, can see the moves but need way more strength to actually do more then one move at a time.

2 working laps, feels way better than the first time I tried this.

2x attempts, first felt great, had no energy for the next attempt

Finally got around to doing this classic.

Worthwhile pumpy linkup that packs in a lot of climbing. 1 shot.

2x working laps, just have to get comfortable with that cut again and then it should go

Started as a warmup lap and to setup the crux draw. Quickly become a solid redpoint attempt, felt really good, just got the heel at the crux stuck. Should go pretty easily when I’m actually fresh. Using 4mm elastic bungee cord to hold the crux draw closer works amazingly.

5x attempts, 3x ending at the last move, just getting pre send nerves and just getting to the jug but not holding it.

So stoked to finally do this. Flowed so comfortably up it, pretty happy I was able to hold it together and one arm clip the anchors to. Done using elastic cord to hold the crux draw (adjusting it is apparently the standard)

Like seeing an old, unrequited crush after many years.. I've fallen back in love and want to spend every weekend climbing this thing. Not sure I can convince any of my friends to come back though.. Maybe for the best. Plenty of other climbs in the sea..

2 more dog laps today. Managed to stick every move within about 15 minutes. Might finally be time for some real red point burns!
