Ascents in Gold Coast as various tick types by Kurt Doherty

Started to rain as I tied in which psyched me out a little bit, but I managed to focus and climb well. Didn't rest too much at the break as I felt good and I didn't want the last holds to get too spoogey. Definitely had to fight at the end. First 26 in a day, though not in true form as I'd previously done The Green Room and Glenn handed me all the beta for this...but I'm still claiming it Cracking day of climbing in pretty horrid conditions. Fantastic route, though I've been on a few 24's that are at least equal in difficulty, if not harder. Doesn't detract from how enjoyable it is to climb. [2]

More great wall climbing—great addition guys! It's pretty engaging on the headwall and was a very rewarding onsight. Quite solid for the grade.

Great climbing on consistent holds. Really enjoyed this one, though it seemed to wander back and forth across the bolt line at times, which had me concerned I was getting off-route at times.

Favourite of the day. Thoroughly enjoyed the climbing and bolting on this one. Multiple cruxes, though none particularly hard for the grade. I found the bolt spacing on this to be perfect—great amount of climbing between clips that kept me focussed but not at risk of getting hurt if I fell. Super good! Great finish to a short 4 hr session at the cliff for Father's Day.

Really enjoyable. Felt easier than it's sibling and not as bouldery as I was expecting. A much better warm up option than my memory of Strip Clubs.

Had next to no chalk on it and found the rock harder to read than expected.

Not too bad. Was quite damp through the corner. Upper half was great jug hauling.

Walk-in and heat destroyed me today. Busy crag too. Jumped on this warm up and was surprised it packed such a punch. Nice rock with a definitely Upper sSlider feel to it.

Avoiding the crowds and trying to do more than one route despite feeling flogged. Found this hard. Definitely consistent climbing for the first few bolts, and hard to read, especially with no chalk on it. One of the worst sessions I’ve had a the cliff for a while, but was still great to catch up with people and pull on some real rock.

Cool roof made serious by the not-so-great fall potential.

TR setup for Matt and Mum. Great to see Mum get it clean and then have Dad lead it confidently after a mini-epic on their first route of the day. Matt did really well too.
