Ascents in Brisbane having Beta

Lovely solo sesh, first dedicated session on this and I have it all in overlapping sections, excluding the top which I wasn't game to try with my old mats and no spotter. Hit the first move first try today too, feeling strong!

Climb 15 of 51. Love this climb. Had been a while.

Climb 16 of 51. Top roped it first and placed gear, then led it with pre-placed gear. I expected it to be a run out horror show, but actually got 9 good placements in, and the climbing was better than expected.

2nd V6 and I am psyched. Very beta intensive, great climbing, worth the skin. Thanks to Albert for the chats and the vibes. Amazing to see how many different methods there are.

Got the second move! Psyched. Feels close which probably means its about another 5 sessions away.

Only came to work the last move as that was all the skin would permit. Did it 4 times consecutively . Time to come back fresh and do it from the start

Not as hard or scary as last time, although there is still a fair bit of both going on.

First session of the season and the bread loaf has been matched! Keen to come back with fresh skin and give her some send burns.

Good night climbing with the homies. Watching Luke Seymour punt off the very top and survive the fall into the abyss, just to hop straight back on and send was unreal.

Broke a foothold on this the other day. Definitely deserves an upgrade. Still think it's hard for a 7

Got past the crux a couple times, the heel was sticking nicely but skin was distractingly painful. Next time!

So psyched to finally get up this rig! Been quite some time since getting on it and felt incredibly solid coming back to it, fell off the top slot second go and it went next try! Really cool to be seeing the improvement coming back from Swizz

A bit crumbly at the top but otherwise an arguably nicer finish to HB than the original.

Pretty technical! Dry fired the crux on the first shot and resorted to hoping my way through. Need to dial in the beta...

Super crisp and dry morning. Hard to grade as it feels like it changes a lot with conditions.

Who the heck is simultaneously short enough for the sit, tall enough for the dyno, and have it be V3?

Made various bits of progress compared to last session despite fighting a massive urge to poo the whole time. Stuck the first move a couple times in a row at the end of the session which bodes well.

Walking past. Touched the holds w/o pads, shoes or chalk. Figured out a few things.

Was perplexed by these two problems on previous visits. Somehow sussed them out quickly this time.

Thought I was too short for the drop knee, Declan showed me otherwise! Not a lot of progress but good to see pieces come together

Got the dyno on the second try, then rest at the next clip. Happy to be able to try this again. Time to revisit a few of the KP classics.
