Can get through the crux without much drama now First brunt I wasted abit of energy at the end of the traverse placing my heel hook where my hand needed to go And 2nd Burn I was too zoned in and went for the slot forgetting to grab the pinch block

Fingery start. Did not climb it how I planned on lead as I could not get my heal up early enough. Also seconded it to clean and climbed that with heal the whole way. Short and punchy

No use of the left good edge. Climbed through it with dyno to right of fang, stuck it but did not realise it was so fat. Was expecting jug so did not plan feet. Left heel works well

Final burn of the day to cover our final angles of the climb. Was feeling pretty tired but executed everything perfectly. Its funny because each burn today I eliminated holds in the transfer out of the cave onto the face. Opting for palms shoulders and legs and reach. No more mono or pockets Had an absolute blast on this today. Remembering the first time we tried this climb and being petrified in the cave and cheating the escape to nor forgoing some of this nicer holds because they are not required or require extra moves to use them.

Nice relaxed warmup. Climbed more direct up to bold 2 as opposed to my normal beta gaining the ledge out left and just stepping across. We also remembered the large cams today. So placed the grey between 3rd and 4th.

Came out of the cave nice and smooth and in control. Then flopped around like a fish out of water at the fourth. Wasted too much energy and pumped myself out. Got the 4th clipped and powered on up. I went wrong hand up first to sidepull below jugs for clipping the 5th. Too pumped and matching there did not seem to work. I went different feed as where the rope runs on lead covers my foot placement. Took the spill

Learnt from my mistakes heading to the fourth. Much smoother and no flopping about and wasting energy. Matching the first pocket makes the beta flow much better. Thought about my hand moves before making them this time Was not feeling pumped and easily moved to the 5th, clipped and moved up to victory

Clipped 3rd from inside cave..too awkward..got 2nd bolt sling (900mm)caught on my harness while exiting escape arch..uttered profanities & wasted energy untangling but managed to get clean send 1st shot

Managed to get into position for rotating out onto the face with the little bits of beta I remembered. Left in the mono and right in the low two finger pocket (probe) and shoulder/arm across the dent in cobra. The rotation went clean but crushed my ulnar nerve with pain in right ring finger. This placed me too low and I forgot about the left jug and was just thinking kneebar to stop the pain. Too low. Take.

With the finger still numb I gave the probe a miss and used the higher pocket while not as nice it is kinder on the finger and allows for easier transition to palming the back of the cave. This is were Dad and my beta differ. This allows for a comfortable transition to the face. I think this time I forgot to bump pockets for easier gain of the ledge.

Powered through the save and onto face. Gain the ledger and come unstuck just below 5th bolt. I could hold on but not get feet to release any hand to move to jug. This prompted me to work from the ledge pocket up to chains several times. Using layback method as it allows for better use of the feet and allows for moving straight into the jug.

Did a different sequence setting up to come out of the cave onto face. My head was no longer in it. I'm familiar with the hold options now so easier to feel your way through it. Transitioned onto the face, left to jug and right knee bar provides easy reach to the ledge. Used the lower pocket but this means you have to move back to the triangle hold a couple of moves later. Layback to 5th with awkward opposite feet. Up on the right side is more in balance. Whoop Whoop! Have had lots of fun on this. Now to punch out a red point next time

Body wasn't ready for this. Messed the sequence between 3rd and 4th and hard to down climb back to the top of the fang and go again. Probably did the same thing the first time I climbed it and freaked myself out.

Was completely exhausted. Came to belay dad for the send on Stingray. This almost killed me. Dad put in an epic attempt on Stingray - got to extend that second draw. The drag is out of this world
