Holy crap the middle pitch of this is amazing. Unfortunately the crag was quite wet. We skipped the approach pitch. Ultra classic 2nd pitch. Endless steep perfect hand crack forvever. Didn't do it very good style though. Ended up making a semi hanging belay at about 30m when I realized I was going to run out of gear. Second half of the pitch was very wet. Pulling the steep crux with both hands and both feet covered in wet slime wasn't going to happen. Pulled through on the gear. Rapped sideways from the belay ledge to get back to our fixed rope and jumared out to avoid the dripping wet and vegetated upper section.

P2 only. Absolute classic jamming test piece, mega 2nd pitch had me flamed, not jamming fit currently, most outrageous splitter I've seen in Tassie thus far, access beta is to do 2 raps from top 30m and 50m to start of second pitch then jumar out from start of third pitch to avoid tainting the experience

Inspired by new edition of the guidebook which says this is the best crack climb in Tassie I came to the area to do a quick top-rope lap before rain. Apparently I ended up doing Salmonella Crack (needs to be added to TheCrag) by climbing a crack directly below the boulder with a sling - that still is one of the best crack climbs I've done, how good Divine Comedy must be then! First abseil point is marked with a little cairn (abseil directly to the right of it facing out - some solid trees for the anchor) Hopefully the area will see more traffic after it was included in the guidebook

AWESOME route. one of the best sustained crack pitches ive done in a long time. steep and great jams, only a tiny bit wet in one section, but avoidable.

First crack climb in months, need to build up the technique and endurance again.

After mistakenly jumping on Salmonella Crack last year I came back for this one and man - it did deliver! Great hand jamming test piece. One one the best indeed and the approach is only 10 min (not counting abseils obviously). Bring long sling or piece of rope of 5-6m long to put around the block to abseil to the start of the climb (that’s after you abseil initial 30m to the ledge). Bring triples of 0.75-3 plus few 0.5s as a minimum (no #4) and maybe an extra 3 and 2 to feel comfy. First half is really sustained but it’s not hard for 21. Would probably be 20 at Organ Pipes. Def worth the trip to Molle Creek area

We only climbed pitch 2 because pitch 3 is shockingly mossy, so we jumarred up from the ledge, definitely wouldn't want to lead that. Pitch 1 doesn't exist on the sarvo or guidebook so most likely also isn't of great quality either.

The suggested rack in the guidebook will definitely add to the comedy of this route. Jim (a much stronger crack climber than I'll ever be) climbed it on a quad rack and had to take in-order to lower and retrieve gear. Having at least 6x of .75, 1, 2 and 3 would be much saner. Definitely can't place a #4, so bringing 3 of those seems like needless extra weight. Doubles of #.5 and a .4 to finish it off.

Having borrowed some extra cams from Jim, I decided to have a lead go, about 15m up I realised I was way too gassed already from the sustained jamming that I wasn't going to be able to onsight this. Since Claire was frothing to have a lead go as well and we wouldn't have time for 2 leads I decided to lower off and let her have a go too. Big mistake on my part as I hadn't brought my belay jacket down, and ended up freezing my ass off while belaying, lessons were learned. With the excessive amount of cams I brought, I would have easily been able to dog my way up and stay warm in the process.

Maybe I'm biased because I don't love splitter cracks, but I wouldn't say this is a crack classic that deserves to be mentioned in the same list as Eternity, Infinity or Janicepts. The movement is very repetitive for the middle 30m, and only gets interesting in the first 10m and last 10m

The pitch only. The hype is worth it, what a great crack. Nice size for girl hands, varied throughout, it just keeps going. Only downer was the increasing weight of the mega rack Dave used. Seems like it had been done yesterday, so maybe was cleaner than normal. Shame the top pitch isn’t clean, it actually looks like it would be good climbing. Comments from yesterdays ascent made me laugh. That may have been me before I learnt to hand jam…

Harder for me due to large hand size than DC. Spent the mid section with a hand in a cam hook configuration. The chimney felt like a relief!

Little bit dirty in spots but a lot of fun. The off-width chimney thing at the top was challenging with my little day pack on.
