Ascents in The Embankment having Beta

Tweaked my shoulder on my first attempt, but still managed to get the send. Would be a lot easier for taller people.

Enjoyable, even with a tweaked shoulder. I just wish it had a few more moves.

Yes Sir, this one is finally in the bag! Super stoked about picking up the send, all my tactics were on point today and i was feeling strong. Super happy all the work I put in has payed off.

Even with the broken hold it feels the same, wouldnt give it an upgrade or downgrade. Maybe makes the stand a little easier though?

Mostly just dicking about and having a laugh, keen to give this a propper try at some point.

No send today, but I'm still making good progress and feeling confident I will send soon. Just not today unfortunately.

I would love to blame this or that as the reason I didn't send today, but I guess it just wasn't my day.

Fun traverse

I stuck the move! At only 168cm tall, for me , this move is a 3 points off dyno. The only thing stopping me from sending is a gash on my left heel that makes the next move too painful. I'm super stoked with todays effort, I'm so close I can freaking taste it.

Very tricky slab with very tiny feet and a nest of bull ants half-way up the problem next to a crucial hold. As a shorter climber, it felt more in the V4 range.

Literally stood there for a few minutes just practising jumping to and holding the pinch, with surprisingly good results. I can hold the move, so I'm super stoked.

Watching Byron work this problem was a real inspiration. My own efforts weren't as amazing, I will blame the rain this time. 😅

Fun dihedral, with a relatively blank top out.

Got all the beta locked in thanks to some helpful tips from the man himself, Glen Hayford. I'm starting to feel super close on this.

A dope little roof climb, which is quite rare for Harvey's. Feels like a good solid V4, had to evict some bull ants from one of the starting crimps on the roof.

I spent the session working on the starting moves, and I am happy with the progress I made today but I am still struggling to link the top and bottom sections together. I feel my left foot needs to be higher, but I just can't seem to find an appropriate foothold.I must be missing something...

Got all the moves locked in and feeling smooth.

Actually, a really nice problem, the right balance of small holds and tricky footwork. The only downside is squeezing between two small trees to do the problem.

I can see where I need to go, but having trouble finding start holds.

Still having trouble linking the sit start of "N.W." into "Screamer" need to spend a dedicated session working on the link.

Got all the moves committed to memory in preparation for "Norwegian Way". Got the send 3 minutes before a rain cloud opened up on top of me.

I really enjoyed this boulder. First V5 for the season 😃

Tricky indeed

Sustained difficulty throughout the climb requiring some fancy footwork.

Done at night by torchlight. Great campus problem with a hard mantle and a blank top-out.

Got the sit start sorted just gotta link it all up now.

Night conditions were great to work on this.

Currently projecting, we think we have the sequence figured out. Just need to come at it fresh.

I finally got it. This project probably took me far longer than it should have, but at least I have it 100% locked into my muscle memory now.

Just a beautiful climb.
