Ascents in Lake Louise having Beta

Led pitch 1 and 3.

Just did the first sport pitch. Really nice.

Fun route. Feels long and exposed but doable. Rock reminds me a bit of Arapiles back home. What an amazing setting for a crag.

Hard! Steep moves through the traverse and until you can get better stems up in the chimney. Cool moves though.

Fun climbing and a powerful boulder. Today wasn't the day to put more energy into this climb however it was great to check it out and stoked to come back to get it done.

Always fun. Got to climb it twice on my birthday, once putting up the draws and once to clean it at the end of the day. Awesome to see Nate send this on his second go and super stoked Bec jumped on it to give it a go.

Nice climbing and with the rain today the final few holds were a bit wet but the climbing was easy enough it wasn't a problem. Thought this might be a bit soft at 11b however maybe it was just a good day. Nice route.

Great to see Nate get a flash on this route and then Bec climbed it clean on TR too! So stoked.

Good to finally put what had been a kind of nemesis route for me at this crag. Forgot the key slot on the first burn and then went easily on the 2nd go. Always an enjoyable route this one.

Wicked climbing. Best I've been on in Canada so far. Get on it. Just lovely!

Lovely rock, hard few sequences then mega jugs to finish. Don't get lost by all the chalk!

Fun. A very different experience to four years ago.

Second shot today, 6th attempt overall. Really satisfying. After my first attempt today I figured the most efficient way for me would be to skip the bolt in the middle of the crux as it takes a bit of energy to clip it. The fall potential would be bigger but safe all the same. I knew part of me would want to clip the bolt and that voice did come up however thankfully both Bec and I told myself to push on and I was able to stick the last move of the crux sequence and get the send. A really satisfying moment on a climb worthy of it's popularity.

High quality with more smeary feet than other climbs at the grade here. Bec did really well to push herself on this and go through the 3 roofs.

Felt pretty close to doing this in a day. Did it twice then cleaned it but decided to come back at the end of the day for 2 more burns where I fell off the last powerful move. Super fun climb.

Did the full 40m route to the top of the wall, past roof and traverse. Graded 11b in guidebook. Two falls - need to work on route reading, it definitely could have gone! Holy hell this is up there as the most exciting routes I've done. So wickedly fun. Need to find myself more of this nonsense.

Got it! First attempt this session, third attempt in total. Makes a world of a difference when you do the climb fresh. Fun stuff.

This attempt to dial the link up of the 1st and 2nd pitch via ropesolo is up here for clarification of a good old fashioned witch 🧙‍♀️ hunt. Contrary to the bullshit that was said I was not the person… nor did I wish to have bolts added to the upper pitch. And after the weird vibe I was given about these “mysterious” bolts appearing, I not only removed them but also retro’d and installed a new station. New bolts have dust, markings and tell tale signs for quite a while (the hangers were far from new) after they’re installed on an overhanging wall that doesn’t see rain. I do have photos of them before I removed, filled them in and camouflaged them. A big thank you (especially to the weenie who most likely installed them in the 1st place for belaying me to remove them) and for using me and my attempts to work the route as an opportunity to throw someone under the bus for his own mistakes. Also? Maybe check the timelines of how many clips were published in Derek Galloways guide before that accusation. Just an idea 💡

Great. Just really long! Jugs all the way but the 10 deg angle of the wall and the near 30m length takes it out of you

Basically bolt to bolt, was pretty tired at this stage. Great moves the whole way up

Shame about the first pitch as the route as pretty dirty when we did it. The Second pitch is very good for the grade

The moves feel impossible and outrageous on this one. Eventually got up it but feels very stiff for the grade.
