Ascents in Beaver Valley having Beta

Fun, easy finish to my first multipitch. Anchor hangers are after you top out and are set waaaay back from the edge. I used my rope to extend the anchor to the ledge and tied a BHK/BFK to belay my second off of. Rapping off the nose was epic

I used an alternative beta as mentioned by someone earlier. Climb the drawline, staying mostly right, until the spot where there's two hangers side by side. Clip the left one and then keep left for the rest of the climb. This variation keeps it nearly pure slab the whole pitch, making it a fun balancey romp up small hands and feet. Much more fun than the reachy arete variation by staying right. Still 5.8, and a hard 5.8 imo.

sweet route, quality is fantastic no loose rocks found. Top anchor is 2 mussy hooks. really nice ledge about halfway up

About 90FT ground to anchor, doable with 200FT rope

Came across a little bat hanging out in a crack near the top

A very straight forward 5.5, but be wary of the lengthy runout from the last bolt to the top of the cliff!

Simply awesome slabby 5.7 with a choice of two different second pitches. One is a 5.5 (right bolt line past belay anchors), and a 5.11b I believe (left bolt line past belay anchors).

First bolt on the route is quite high off the ground, so consider stick clipping if you feel uncertain about your abilities.

Really fun but a weirdly tough 5.6! Plus having the tree right behind you certainly makes any potential fall that much sketchier. Worthwhile climb though with a nice view.

First ever outdoor climb. Simple chimney with plenty of rest spots. Jam your way up

After knowing the proper beta, this route is WAY easier than I made it the first time. Stick right of the draw line until you reach two bolts side-by-side, then stay left of it. Crimp city up to the anchor from there, which you'll approach from the left.

Watch for choss. I ripped off a rock bigger than my head near the top.

Pretty stout route!

Good climb. If you're going to use that shared bolt - have an alpine draw or something similarly long, it's quite far to the right. Skipping it isn't a large ordeal.

Kinda weird Anchor placement?

Anchor appears to be around a tree & split with the other 2nd pitch. Very weird. Huge holds, tons of fun. Last is a bit run-out but it's practically a scramble at that point.

Rap down over the nose of the Anvil into free space, awesome descent.

Seems there's 2 lines for the first pitch, one with the arete, the other on the face. Slab climbing, good climbing - there's one good pinch but the rest isn't super secure. Anchor was 2 quick links. Belay station is smooth rock, can stand barefoot quite nicely. Used a 240 sling & made a quad for an anchor. I'm short (5'8"/172) but was able to happily stand & lean against the anchor.

Great climb, sharp holds. A bit winding, a long draw/alpine would be helpful in at couple points, but not needed. One bolt hanger was loose, but it was nbd. Anchor was 1 rap ring, 1 quicklink.

Set a top rope anchor with a locker draw for others in the group to climb.

Flaring crack, natural anchors. Good fun

One hang. Runout to the anchors but moderate terrain.

Oof that was hard. Very cool line. I need stiffer shoes and thinner fingers to fit in that pocket.

Long climb - Pretty cruisy after the bottom crux

Took a giant Air Jamaica whipper trying to clip - pretty fun. Didn't love the runout to the anchor

Would really benefit from better bolting for the bottom. Cleaned up a few widow makers at the top

Crazy lockoff from a 1.5 finger pocket? There's got to be a better way...

Aesthetic line that climbs well. Favourite of the day. #2go

Great little pitch with varying holds. Nice follow up after you finish the 5.5 just to the left of it.
