Ascents in Berlin having Beta

Really awesome first half into a confounding and tough conclusion. Had to stick clip before I could commit to the move into the undercling.

Astounding line to behold. Very tough for me at the moment, and also wet at the anchor. Was quite gripped at times and took some massive wingers

Punted off the last move on the onsight. Slippery and tricky

gave a couple of working attempts; the top run-out slab crux was too much for me to commit to though

Our 8a.nu app said this was 6b+. quite the shocker of a warmup!

Had a punt on wills draws. Mega line, aesthetic and great movement. Couldn't quite make it to fifth.

An awesome route! Big and powerful moves along big pockets and a strenuous layback with a thank-god-jug at the end. I was at the end of my strength and grinning my ears off at the top.

Super happy it went down in the end in time before leaving. It was such a good supportive vibe at the crag. Tho colder conditions with the wind definitely helped.

Amazing, but probably the hardest 7b+ I've tried so far. 6 tries in total but I didn't manage to climb the hardest single move from the ground. Very, very pumpy; the single moves are all doable. Best try was with two breaks to the top.

Felt even harder than Blocage Violent, but I only tried once without warming up. First good pockets, then a dynamic move (cut loose for me) and finally a pumpy section

Fuck I’m crap on this terrain. My footwork is shite and I’m so gripped the whole way I just overgrip everything and climb like a pumped wanker. I don’t actually like this climb, but I feel like I should work it just because I’m so rubbish at it.

Gave it a burn as Eli was attempting it. Bloody bouldery start! Was pretty cool but don’t think it’s gonna be my first 7c!

Footwork and mental game, my nemesis’

So different to the thuggish pocket pulling in the morning. Pretty techy and sequencey. Got a bit wigged out by the run out slab at the top.

Very polished at the bottom, interesting climbing throughout, not a gimme at the grade.

The best holds in life are not always the chalked ones. Don t let the tickmarks get you off the path. Supernice funky things on pockets all the way. Great!

Beautiful vertical pocket pulling up the gorgeous blue streak. Looks more polished than it is. Be prepared for an exciting finale!

Fourth go, totally unexpected. Amazing boulders intro to typical ceuse resistance flow climbing. Clipped the chains on a tight margin with forearms exploding, what a fight!

Can be made significantly harder by not using any holds of the route on the right…. 😅
