Felt really close. Daniel gave us beta and climed it barefoot.

Great variety of moves. Sloper, edges, pinch, kneebar, mantle. Awesome. 2nd go.

Cool problem on the right side of an arête. Feels impossible at first. Granite smearing, balance and slopers.

Warm-up. More exciting than last time because it already got dark.

Crimp crux with a dyno to a jug. Went all the way up and traversed into the corner to downclimb. So awesome to send this one! My first hard highball.

I found something onsightable! yay. Techy and vertical to slightly overhanging. Grade seemed fitting.

Really, really good! Long moves on rather big pockets, shake out holds, traverse into a great layback section, high feet off a pinchable sidepull-edge and small but incut crimp (crux), then a few more techy and delicate moves to the top. 2nd go send! My first 7a in Frankenjura. #sportRP

Very short but two nice moves on cool holds. Felt more like 5B/C to me.

Hard! Juggy on sharp slots and a very specific "smear, stand up and reach" problem at the very top. I saw 7a/b boulderers not sending.

Quite tough today with some slightly greasy/ muddy holds. Also lacking endurance after the long "max power only" phase.

Great! One of the best routes of the style I did so far. The rock feels a bit like sandstone here. The top part is a nice slab.

Far better than expected! If this wasn't chipped, I'd give it three stars. Nice moves! Flash after Basti and Tillmann tried it.

A boulderproblem at the 2nd bolt and some awkward and balancy parts.

Steep, mostly on big holds. Hard anchor clip. I fell trying to dyno to the last pocket which is the worst hold I had to use in the route. RP 2nd go clipping the anchor from an undercling, doing the move to the pocket statically and then "matching" the top pocket competition-style to have a legitimate ascent (8m route, 2m wingspan) #sportRP

Hard to onsight for me - Choosing the right feet on a bulge isn't my strenght it seems. Felt appropriate for the grade 2nd go. The bolting is not that encouranging but the hard sections have bolts. #sportRP

Vague line with a thin crux and loads of rope drag. Technically onsight but it felt like the rope drag helped me in places. Maybe more enjoyable when you use long draws for some bolts.

A fun and very delicate climb. Feels like almost falling off for the most part.

Nice, bouldery route. In the first, steep part there's not much time to find the right solution.

Standing high above the bolt in the first laybacl section feels airy!

By the skin of my teeth! I did one move into an undercling that I instantly regretted and almost fell of while pulling up into it. Also it felt like the pump made my hands even colder. Limit for 4°C today. #sportRP

Weird that it starts on the block.

A slab/ arête but the apparent line is not the route unfortunately. The guide does not clarify either. I traversed right at 5th bolt instead of going onto the slab on the left of the arête but that's more like 6c+/ 7a and you end up climbing on horrible brown rock. After watching Basti, the easiest line seemed to be to escape onto the slab between bolt 4 and 5.

A pleasant first pitch. The short, second one not so obvious, partly awkward. Supposedly harder than the route to the right.

Shirt off for the first time in Franken! Had no beta and found a good intuitive solution.

Delicate climbing to a boulder crux at mid height. Easy above.

Crux for me was keeping calm. Every move very doable.

Beautiful climbing to a somewhat awkward crux at the final bulge.

Consistent climbing to the crux just below the anchor. Fun to watch others on their onsight attempt. One of the best routes I know in Franken!

One of my Frankenjura favorites so far! Harder than its right neighbor but more beautiful. Typical Frankenjura bolting style - huge runout s but well placed bolts. Nice and relaxed slab to the bulge, then committing moves to the upper part which offers beautiful, logical and pumpy climbing. I used a 60cm draw below the bulge - you probably don't want to fall into any draw clipped to that bolt. Comitting move over the bulge, pumpy above. Airy bolting as well. Felt nowhere near 6b and a lot harder than other routes of the same grade in Franken.

Nice technical moves and surprisingly a good warm-up.

100 times better than it looks with nice, techy moves! The topo-description is accurate – adventurous and airy. The rock is still quite fresh. Good friction compared to other climbs here! I linked the two pitches. (Revolver draw for 1st anchor, 2nd pitch: unclipped 1st bolt and alpine draw for 2nd. Still some rope drag from the intermediate anchor.) Passing the final bulge, my first idea was to break out to the right but there's some vegetation/ small tree stumps blocking the holds. Managed to climb almost straight over the bulge in the end after downclimbing two moves. Grading this is a little difficult. The moves are not so hard but the climbing is sometimes awkward, in parts not so obvious and requires some confidence. I'd say solid 7, alpine touch.
