Started from the big ledge after abseiling. Obvious line and nice position. The crux passage through the polished chimney section might actually be 5-. The bolt sits in an awkward place there, I would have loved to put my back against that part of the wall. The second pitch is easier, but also quite nice, interesting finishing dihedral.

Rarely repeated: last entry in summit register from 6 years ago.
Nice parts (especially pitch 4), but also crumbly sections at pitch 1, 3 (!) and 5 (!!). The flake at the beginning of pitch 5 can only be reached via crumbly rock and sketchy pro. The bolt below it seems to sit in a hollow rock slab, which might collapse when loaded, sending the flake down like a Guillotine on climber an belayer - very scary. Not sure if it can be bypassed.

Allgemein: Im nicht ganz so schwierigen Gelände nichteindeutiger Verlauf und weite Runouts meistens ohne wirklich gute Placements für Keile oder Friends. Tiefenentspannter Vorsteiger von Vorteil.
SL 1 mit 4+ angegeben, ist eher 5+. Nicht abschrecken lassen, geht echt gut. Tipp1: Von der linken Seite einteigen, dann sind es zum ersten Haken "nur" 5 m. Tipp2: Sicherer muss laufbereit sein, sobald der Vorsteiger über dem ersten Haken steht. Der zweite Haken steckt so hoch, dass ein Sturz auf dem vorgelagerten Block enden würde. Crux ist Beginn von SL 2, Kletterer mit Reichweite unter 2.40 m müssen eine gute Schuppe anspringen (ich war im Nachstieg und habe das getan) oder sich auf ganz miesen Tritten einen halben Meter hochschwindeln. Ab dann passen die Schwierigkeiten verglichen mit benachbarten Routen. Durch die Steilheit sieht es oft schwieriger aus als es ist, v.a. wenn man aus Gebieten kommt, die eher kleingriffig und geneigt sind. An allen Schlüsselstellen Bolt vor dem Bauch. Außer im ganz einfachen Gelände durchgehend bombenfester Fels. |

The first half is really beautiful, with lots of bolts and nice climbing. The biggest difficulty is to not miss the spot in the first pitch where you have to stop going left and start going straight up.
After seven or eight pitches there's the scree field where you can decide if you want to continue or not. We continued. For the second half, you have to cross the scree field, find an entrance into the wall and then continue up for a few hundred (maybe?, felt like it for sure) meters of altitude. There were some bolts initially and also red dots that kind of guide you, but then there were no more bolts and we had a hard time finding the entry point to the route. Putting in your own protection isn't that great either because there's lot's of loose rock which you don't want to trigger with your rope. It's easy terrain at least. When you find the entrance, the climbing is pretty nice and easy, but there are far fewer bolts than in the first half and finding the route was an issue for us. |
