Ascents in Babala

Good battle to about halfway on OS.

Wow! Battle Royale. Nearly every hold is a tufa. Steep. Bloody hard and tricky. [2]

Epic epic epic. They call this the best route in Greece. Man I hope I can do this before we fly home.

Came off the monster after the last bolt. Awesome warm up

Tufa snake train tracks to the moon. Nothing super hard but jesus christ it’s sustained for the whole 30m. Kneebar galore. Sent while it rained. [3]

3-4 tries over 2 days. Left it for the end of the trip, but didn't had opportunity to go back on it

A bit dirty but nice moves. Need to learn to properly use my knees for the 1st part..

Flash attempt. Super nice! Was not properly warmed up, and got pumped pretty quick.

Two session working the moves after 7d of climbing. Too destroyed to possibly have a chance. Must do

Not often that I can say 'havent done a climb like this before'!

On the first day I fell off on the crimps at the very end unable to make the finishing moves up to the chain due to full body pump.

Sent a lot more relaxed on the second day after my warm up go.

Sharp and chipped

Found a really cool sequence for the crux but am missing a few cm of wingspan. Solving the crux on the left did not really seem great either.

Went up and tried some of the drop knee moves; they are ace!

1st try after figuring out the section after the lip. So much fun. Right kneepad, which I actually used!! Looks like a left might also be useful further up though.

What a special climb and special day! My first 7c+ in a single day (I go with the new guidebook, instead of old version that had it as 8a) Today, it was clearly power over conditions with 85° humidity and moments where you couldn’t even see the chains in all that fog. The best part of it all is that it was a double send together with Mr. C! Such an awesome experience that I will probably never forget. Happy climbing memories.

Good short warm up for people like me who barely belong to Babala 😜

Wow, this one is probably the most aesthetic rock climb I did so far. The moves are not as fantastic as the look of the line (or rather the multiple tufa lines of different colors) but they are still very special, unless you kneebar your way to the top at your home crag all the time. Funnily, the climbing might be more pumpy for the feet than for the arms, but I didn’t give it a proper go, so who knows. Unfortunately it was so freezing cold today with just 10° and a super nasty wind that we left early... :-/
