Ascents in Gerakios Main having Beta

Wanted to climb open book.

Chains are very rusty but you can use the chains on the right.

Route was okay, but there are better ones in this sector. Taking quickdraws out was not nice and we felt bad for our rope.

Loved to climb this route! Very long but with a good rest just two quickdraws after the crux, just stand on the small ledge and shake it out. The line of bolts is zig-zagging a bit and we used longer quickdraws to reduce rope drag.

Fun and easy climb up a chimney/crack.

Vertical wall, very crimpy with small footholds. Didn‘t like it and decided not to try it again.

Couldn‘t figure out the crux sequence in the middle of the route on my first try.

Start is very easy, finish is horrible, very old style route. Did not enjoy.

The route seems to be called "Blue Man" now. It's written on the wall.

harder than other 6as around (esp on-sight) but satisfying

one fall at the crux

This route is now shorter. maybe 15 or 20m

There are some rusty hangers and anchor.

Misread the route and climbed right after coming out from the roof

This is possibly the best 6b+ I have climbed in my life, very sustained, with beautiful, interesting moves, a layback crack, and a technical crux yet requiring a finger power. No idea why it has only 2 stars on the crag, in guidebook it has 3, it should be a musical note!

Sjukt fin linje. Först på nålen sen laybackspricka.

At this grade, this is a cracker. Super cool corner romp with holds that get bigger and bigger as you go higher. Sneakers.

Interesting

Initially the overuse of bolts looks a little wasteful.... Until you get on the rock. Still looks pretty fragile and I can see why this wall isn't popular. However, it is actually a kinda fun climb if you like mini holds and delicate moves.
