Ascents in Central Israel having Beta

Muscle cramp. Went for a big move and fell once.

Failed onsight. Easier the second go around. Focus on feet, then reach for the jugs post-crux. Suggested the name since I held the middle pocket(s) like a bowling ball

Really solid attempt. Missed the side jug and tore a flapper..

Delicate start for the grade.

Remember to warm up your fingers... Commit to the left-side jug up top and you'll make it.

Unnecessarily runout. Probably 2.5-3 meters from the last bolt to the anchor and bolts are spaced out.

Crimpy. Nice sequence at the crux. Uncharacteristically good route for this crag.

Not for warmup. Pretty hard, probably 6a+/b

Dirty and crimpy. Not sure the Adam/Alma split is necessary.

Only tried the crux. 2-3 really painful holds, then a hand bump I couldn't do to reach a bad hold. I think I need an intermediate. Pretty confident in saying it's heavily sandbagged.

Quick and easy. The last moves are slightly trickier to clip the anchor.

Foot slipped in the middle. Polished feet with decent handholds.

I think 5+/6a if you go right of the 3rd bolt then back left. If you stick left of the bolt probably 6a+ or more. Cleaned one very loose rock on the ascent.

Heavily sandbagged IMO. Hard (short) 6b+ at least. Nice delicate start with monos. Physical crux on sharp pockets and mediocre sidepull. Upper part is runout between bolt 4 and the anchor.

Note: the route does not have its own anchor! Clip the anchor of "Finger of God" to the right. Might have had its own anchor in the past, since there's a bolt on the upper side of the wide crack. Climbed the face variation (bolt line left of the cave, merging to the right after a few bolts).

Crux is significantly easier with the quickdraw pre-placed... Then I guess you can crack climb directly or traverse right then back left. Hard for the grade.

Burly and fun for the grade. Kind of trad-style with bolts.

Don't know what to say about this one. Supposedly two different bolt lines but it's considered the same route? Did not feel like a classic...

First half of the route is polished and unclear, with some rusty pitons (the new bolts are fine, though). The second half is trivial but rope angle makes for horrible drag. You can't see the anchor until the very end.

Polished up to the crux, then a long move into better holds.

Technical and cool moves up to the crack. Unnecessarily long runout afterwards.

Difficult middle section.

Delicate face into the obvious bulge. Crux is getting your feet up somehow, the rest is easier.

Nice moves. hard for the grade.
