Last shot of day so training lap. Just held the crux and then a bit wobbly to the next draw then good on the jugs. Such a great route! Lowered down and did extra lap of crux. Fell off the jugs at the top haha

Don’t usually get on harder routes on our first climbing day but the weather is really good and soon it won’t be. First shot, I felt like I’d never climbed before. Second shot was good. Got to last years high point past the crux before I got lost. One rest.

Second shot got to the crux. The breeze had disappeared and my head was feeling microwaved. And the wax bees!!! So many wax bees! Let’s just say it was not the right day for this. Got to the anchor though.

Thought I’d wait and see if a breeze would reappear. Alas, just more wax bees. Scott couldn’t actually give me a safe belay any more so tr to clean. Unfortunately surrounded by a swarm of wax bees. Apparently, don’t go there when the weather is going up... wax bees.... holy crap I swear I inhaled some...

A never ending horror story. One go to get the draws on, and two goes where I get to the same high point and fall off just touching the good(ish) hold at the end of the crux sequence. Huge falls as I’m looking at the draw but lovely soft catches. No reason why this hasn’t been sent yet. This is just craziness now. ... no more coolish days left now. Possibly too hot? Now it will be. Bummer...

Mid 30’s with the wax bees that just knew when to attack your eyes... just at the end of the crux sequence. Little buggers! Super greasy today and too many wax bees. Gave up. X2
