Ascents in Gozo

Great moves on small pockets along a trace of vertical slits, most of which are unsuitable as holds, except for the two in the crux. The fixed carabiner doesn't close properly anymore and the sling doesn't look good, so better use your own gear.

Yeow! I pulled this one outa my arse, after giving Daniel a long belay and getting all the beta. I climbed it exactly how i wanted to and it paid off! First 7b/25 flash!

Pretty close to an onsight but forgot a crucial intermediate at the top on the second and fell at the same point. Some sharp holds but the climbing is awesome. Pity about the shitty placed bolts at the second bolt and the last bolt before the runout to the anchor...both are potential biner snappers! Also the finish is pretty runout and hard, so you don't want to fall on that last one. A long sling from the anchor to protect yourselfwill help until someone fixes it one day....

Tried for an EOD flash but the fingers were well hurting by this stage and this has some harsh rock in parts. Great climbing again, on a variety of holds. Felt easier than BC next to it, so i will come back on my last day here (Wednesday) and try to do both of them!

Sweet sendage on the first shot today! Great way to finish the trip.

Going back to Spooky Cave in the morning (we fly out at 14:40) for Vanessa to have one last effort on the mega roof! I might even have a crack myself, why not?!!

I came back here today to tick these 2 7bs and i would have but i broke a crucial intermediate at the top crux and flew a long way on the first go. Then i was too tired to pull the moves on the second.

Actually multiple attempts, but I just couldn't get to the second bolt in one go.

Quite easy for the grade, but with cool moves in the beginning.

Very cool move in the beginning, a jump from a round hole in which you can jam both hands to a jug. Quite short, but very interesting.

Up there with the best i have done at the grade. So many features, so much fun! Onsight blown by getting my fingers stuck in an undercling and ripping my finger trying to get it out. The sun was blazing and no wind but it was still ok on the secod go.

Really good first try. In retrospect kinda mad I didn't onsight it. Got myself tangled up and also hestitated too much in the upper part.

Last day (on Gozo), best day! Guess I really do like slabs By far the hardest I've ever sent (or attempted) so hard to judge. Maybe the grade is a bit soft. But too little experience to judge so I'll take it as my first 7a Certainly easier initially, then gets more technical with bad feet near the top. Crimp strength not really required (which is nice with a finger injury)
