Ascents of Captain Caveman having Beta

Cool varied climbing, beautiful view over the lake.

First pitch can be considered a hard hike, second pitch is the money pitch - huge 3D chimney abundant with features. Final pitch is short and punchy with a nice steep finish on bucket jugs with the entire bay underneath your feet. Two 70m ropes allowed us to rap down in a single descent, a fantastic finish for this multi!

P3: got lost and climbed into Cave Boy instead.

Doing the second pitch at night with your headtorch off is so epic!!!

Night Climb with a great bunch of young climbers. Got off the rock at 1.45am

1st pitch was dripping wet, so combined the first pitch of Cave Boy (felt like climbing a sand castle) with the second pitch of Captain Caveman. Got dark at the anchor of the second pitch so we rappelled from there.

Cracking adventure. Loved the pitch in the cave. Last pitch is only 19 at the very top and it is escapable to the right.

Good climbing. Crux just below the top section of this pitch.

Pitch three has fun 17ish climbing till the overhang. Hidden small rails far back on the traverse are quite a sideways stretch, then powerful moves straight up (don't go too far left or you'll hit King of the Castle - 22).

Repeat with Matt, he lead first and last pitch. The novelty of this climb has worn off a bit for me. Still quite enjoy pulling through the roof though.

Second pitch very fun 3D climbing through chimney, good feet and juggy handholds.

I love this climb, pitch 2 is incredible, the final move on the third pitch is kinda scary.
