Slab with nice little crux in the middle

Grade: VM

On the left-most of the line of small boulders ~40m N/NW of the Submarine. Mantle the side facing the submarine.

Left and up from the top of the rungs. Shares the first 2 bolts of JTB.

Direct to Beatnik.

Two boulder problems split by a good rest.

From the fixed belay seat, move left along the chain and up into the layback corner. Onto a big ledge then up a second layback corner. The two stars are reserved for the first pitch only.

Nice climbing on decent red greywacke. NZ Grade II, 3.

Right of "Seawall" in "Project Area"

Slightly overhanging fun on jugs. Start in the corner.

Route does not exist. New route is Bronco

Mantle.

Stand start on teeny tiny holds and a heel on the mega jug. Apply some zest and finish up less challenging terrain.

Start as for Arachnophobia, then commence traversing left to top out as for End of the Rainbow. This line is an eliminate and excludes all holds "made out of glue". Interesting distinction, and likely subject to change as the cave evolves. The line stays low, underneath the steepest parts of the wall.

Big moves, small holds.

Technical Crux

Very Polished. Has a bolt at the top. Walk off from the back.

Start on good edge and go straight up blunt arete/bulge on the right side of the north face.

Damaged during the earthquakes. Not recommended.

The bottom section of this climb is currently not in good condition - however the summer will hopefully dry it up. Car Crash takes you on a journey up and over the cemented blocks of lava flow and into the groove above. Take care with the odd loose hold in the mid section. Up the groove, move across left and prepare yourself for a cruxy finale!
