Ascents in Oceania as Onsight as trad or sport by Marc

This climb really confounded me. Even in hindsight I'm really confused. Really hard and messy start to the first bolt followed by a too easy, uninteresting top section. I may have been doing it wrong but darned if I can see a way for this to be a nice climb. Really disappointing as the arête looked so promising!

Tricky out of the last cave. A little run out over sharp but easy terrain at the top.

Quite a pleasant slab climb with really great friction under your feet and a few good ledges. The route is very run out in the middle so wouldn't be enjoyable if you weren't comfortable on the grade. Ground fall definitely possible.

Fun airy crux.

Hard to find some holds. Really great climbing with lovely moves.

Really nice roof. Need a number 4 cam or two. Very pleasant outing.

Getting the crux felt excitingly marginal. Like you're levitating on no feet. Great friction.

Good fun on rusty bolts. Run out in the middle on easy terrain. Watch out for wasps and spiders, got three stings en route!

Amazing line. Great exposure on the rap down. That alone is excellent. A little run out on the first pitch but the top half is really well protected with lots of jugs and great moves, through slightly overhanging terrain. Favourite climb of the trip!

Favourite climb at the crag this trip. Really great! A little sharp but it doesn't get in the way at all. Good face climbing.

Fun climb! Bring micro stoppers for the crux at the top. Hardest part for me was mounting the top bulge.

Thin climbing then throw for the jug!

Climb this in the damp for extra value. Many a chuckle was had up this ludicrous climb! Worth a canter.

Classic, great climbing. Great moves, awesome setting. Bring big cams. I didn't have enough so slung some chockstones in the crack. Really satisfying climb!

Absolutely loved first pitch. Second pitch was great with 15m run outs on trad.

First 'unsupervised' trad climb. Great route, well protected with nuts all the way up. The slab at the top was a bit sketchy, thought I might end up putting my placements to the test!

Did this after dark. Fun crux wall at the bottom which gives it the 17, up some easy cruising through to the top.
