Shot 11 - I finally got it! I can't friggin believe it! Also this was my first time actually pulling over the lip and standing on top - I was always saving that for when I got it clean... because I knew what had to come next. This time I stood on top and screamed my elation across the valley, asked for 2m of extra slack and... "I'm gonna jump!". There was a funny moment with one foot stepping on mid-air and my weight just PAST the turning back point my brain went "nup I don't want to do this"...

Woo hoo! After 5 years I finally sent this! Totally stoked!

second trip there. great route!

used to try this every time I went there. Finally got it just before I left NZ. Apparently is only a v6 because someone way back when decided that no mantle problem could possibly be harder than v6. course that's been disproven since, but the grade sticks.

Direct version of Weak Boy which we thought we were on. Still great moves, very enjoyable. 2nd shot.

Got it second shot. Dragging 55m of rope behind you makes the second bit ("world party p3") much more difficult than it is on it's own. At one point in the groove the rope was so heavy I couldn't pull up enough to put it in my teeth... had to pull up about 20cm, trap it against the wall with my knee and reach down to grab some more! Dicey!

had one shot back in April sometime, then came this morning and it sent straight away, after warm up on jaws. Nice

Scary as f flake, bout the size of a car... Held in with a bit of glue, almost as if that would help if it went... so it's quite fun pulling into that!

can't call this one an onsight as I saw one of the Steve's trying it just before, and saw the way past the hard move near the bottom. Excellent climb!
