Cool route - a few powerful moves to a crimpy crux up top. Every bit of 27

Cool climb, first 20 felt harder than the second one, could just be the style. Tricksy crack vs glory roof jugs. Clean ascent for the both of us, no falls.

Tried this years ago on my first afternoon of real rock climbing with Jason. Struggled for 15 mins then bailed off the second or third bolt.

A must do! Easy climbing and intuitive route reading. Brilliant for its day. Opened in 1911 by Cobern, Louw, Londt and Taylor... legends

Had a blast on this route. Overall very good quality. I did pull off a couple of death blocks. Highly recommend. Started at 7 - finished around 11. Somewhere between 7-9 pitches for us.

Man, this route is cool and exhilarating 😆 Everything felt hard today. But yoooh pulling up on one finger pockets, pockets that turn into underclings and gastons that turn into side pulls and having a full body experience on this route is the highlight of my day! There is not a dull moment. So exciting to be working this ✌️

Took a while but figured out a heel on right sloper which worked

Split the second pitch into two pitches because of rope drag and unable to communicate with my partner.

Felt pretty soft for the grade - but maybe it was just a low gravity day for me

Enjoyed the top section a lot.

2 pitch was covered in dirt and lichen

Scared the crap out of myself at the top and wimped out to the left, keen to go do it with an abundance of pads and spotters

Tried some of the heel hookery towards the end, feels tricky but doable

Fun warm up, maybe I confused it for a different problem but felt easy for 6a+

Awesome route but it’s not fit to be climbed now - needs to be rebolted! I snapped off a bolt on the head wall and Ebert also snapped one off back in 2021!

Yay, I sent this today! Turns out doing the same thing over and over again (the direct crux) eventually does bring progress - beta: match on rail, rf far right in pocket dropknee, lh rail lockoff, hard pull as rh goes up directly to leftside of top rail). I find the first half of this route nicer than Sickle Moon with a hard solid crux. I was less scared at the top and kinda figured out what to do using that sidepull.

This flowed so nicely today 🤙

Fun slab to start, finishing with some straightforward roofy moves. The last move is definitely the crux! Definitely a good precursor to Sickle Moon

Really cool high face with safe fall and brilliant moves.

We did the wimp start, which is still nails but not as much of a joke as the rail under the roof. The rest of the route offers outstanding climbing but I was totally maxed out by the end. Stiff for 20 but Elsie’s Peak is a just stiff place.

Went off route and earned myself a nice whip, then calmed down and figured out a sequence that stays true to the line. Hard and heady for 19, but brilliant climbing.

I got convinced to give Jimmy a go. Made it through the crux eventually (yes, the direct way 🙄) and almost gave up at the top because hot dang that is hard and scary! Precise food placement, lots of positive self talk and slow movements I hunkered down and found my way to the top. It’s an excellent climb however that top is yucky. Hopefully it goes better next time.

Downclimbed it which pumped me out a bit 😅

Mega classic route

I found myself exclaiming my excitement at every move, had so much fun working this today. Pocket fest (1 finger, 2 finger and 3 😱🤤 - I didn’t even realise I loved small pockets so much), gastons, side pulls, jugs, super tiny crimps, this route has it all! I’m looking forward to the day I can put this together because it’s going to flow so nicely! You’ll need 13 draws

Such a heady route, exposed at the top with a difficult move with no feet.

1min 40sec (putting up draws) and I now have a new quest: how fast can I climb it?

Sick 7c. Really hard after a jug broke by the top. First go of the session. One pad.

I moved dynamically up to the postbox to the left at the end of the just before the small overhang, which made it fairly easy.
