Ascents in Cape Town having Beta

Good route but unless I'm missing something, you just need to be able to span a large distance - fingertips for me.

It will go

Josh's line, sweet cut loose move. Want to go back and lead.

Josh did great going ground up onsight on this one. Reckon he'll free it next time. I found the undercling crack move hard.

Whipper time.

Access pitch harder than it looks. Got about half way up the main wall, whipped twice and handed over the rack to Josh. We found a really cool line here, harder than it looks. Josh reckoned 60% handjams. Done ground up onsight. Reckon this will go free at around 21.

That start is steeper than it looks. Fun to be new routing again. Matt broke off a block right before the anchor, I thought that thing was suspect. Ball ache bundu bash to get round to the rap station.

Fun variety of moves. Starts with a boulder problem.

Way better than 1 star in the book. Worth doing.

Really great line. Bouldery start, tricky face and then burly roof. Great combo.

Onsight hanging draws.... Yeah!!

Anchors are in a very inconvenient spot (for cleaning). Quite tricky. 3rd burn, foot popped on second go.

Anchors should be moved....Fun climb though

FFA. #FA The roof project to the left of Tyrant. It got passed on to various people. In the end I stole it from Steven :-O. If you don't wear tape gloves for this one it might feel somewhere between 7c and impossible.

Struggled with the hand jams in the beginning, and flubbed it the second time at the chains. 3rd go.

Very fun route.

The Dyno route finally goes down. Lost the race for the FA. Chevaan swooped in and did it fairly statically I might add. Luckily then the pressure was off .. Fun day out!!

Some hard moves. I was just not strong enough, will need to get back on this next time.

Crimpy sequence was really fun to work out! sent on second attempt!

Left my draws at home. Had two slings so Had to down climb and yo yo them up. Fool

Will have to go back for this one. Tricky & crimpy!

This is actually an excellent route despite being a short one! I finally worked out the beta but lost steam to send it 😁 Good holds are sparse 😆

Feels a little run out, but a good bit of crack climbing.

Sent with Rasmus. Surprised myself here after a layoff. Finger lock for the win. Saw Josh go more directly left and will do that next time but not sure that makes this too much harder

Such a fun route, positive holds all round. Went for the onsight but my finger got stuck at the crux 😂🤦 Got it second go.

Very good, went 2nd go today. Will try again with better beta.

Missed out on the onsight on the move before the chains. Felt quite easy on second go. Climbed with Josh.
