Ascents in Crazy Horse having Beta

Cave floor to end of pitch 2 is about 35m so it can be climbed in one push and it's possible to rappel from end of pitch 2 to cave floor with a 70m rope (tie knots at the end though).

Climb is quite dirty and wet in general, especially pitch 2.

Pitch 3 is not much of a climb at all and can be skipped as it's really short and leads to a tight hole with an anchor/rap rings. The cave opening at the end of pitch 2 afford a great view of the surrounding area.

This multi pitch is pretty dirty and wet especially at second pitch.

Tricky start at start of Pitch 1 and anchor is at a big ledge with two anchors. One with a fixed static rope and there is another one to the far left.

Pitch 2 starts with a traverse towards the right for 2 bolts and upwards, with another fixed static rope for reference to the next anchor. After the traverse, take note of the edgy ledge on the right especially when climbing up the dirty and wet rocks. There's a high tendency to hit ledge if less than 3 bolts are clipped above the ledge while leading.

At anchor of Pitch 2, you can walk towards the cave opening attached to the fixed ropes for a great view.

It is possible to rappel down to the cave floor with a 70m rope from anchor of Pitch 2. Tie knots at the end of the rope and take note to rappel to the left side where Pitch 1 starts as ground is higher as compared to the ground directly straight down.

A very fun route that is worth doing. It's a little dirty and dusty.

Had to gather a little courage for some of the clips, but good feet the whole way up.

The first 2 pitches can be linked together. Fun face climbing for the 1st ptch and easy scrambling for the 2nd pitch. More strenuous face climbing on the 3rd pitch. We tied 2 ropes together to do just 1 rappel to the ground.

Ascent on 11 Oct 2017

Little overgrown on the scramble of Pitch 2 and good to have more alpine draws to reduce drag over the sharp rocks for Pitch 2 and 3.

With the stretch of a 60m rope, you'll be able to rappel to the ground directly below from Pitch 2 anchor. Take note to lower to the right side of wall (not the start of Pitch 1) and be sure to set the middle mark of rope at anchor and tie ends of rope!

The first 2 pitches can be linked together. Fun face climbing for the 1st pitch and easy scrambling for the 2nd pitch. More strenuous face climbing on the 3rd pitch. We tied 2 ropes together to do just 1 rappel to the ground.

In the rain, the second pitch will be all wet thus route was climbed only till the first anchor.

At the last bolt under the roof before first anchor, it seemed as though the top is wet but it still is climbable in the rain with the right sequence.

Fantastic but pumpy start. 70m rope all the way to the tope. Chains and biner at top for the rappel, no need to build your own anchor.

Simply the best route I've climbed at this sector. Long and sustained with 2 different sections. Tuffa and technical wall. Watch the rope drag use alpine draws.

Very cool climb with a lot of interesting holds. Definitely not an easy 6A+ but definitely recommended. It felt as hard as the 6B beside it.

Seriously punchy start that has it all. This route has pockets, tufa's, a slab, finger locks, you name it....its got it....no one knows what it is though.

P1: Lynley lead. P2: Nice traverse, me lead. P3: Exhilerating finish (LM).

Finally got it. Awesome climb.

Third pitch is a nice, little exposed route.

Lead p1onsite , Ek p2, lead p3 onsite.

Unfortunately used the dbb on the left at the end of p1 rather than the 3 threads on the right making an unrequired hanging belay (presume the dbb is for topr roping p1?)

Worth it for the third pitch.

The rappel station is a bit of an awkward traverse to right. Was fine with a ~57m rope, but just.

Hard for me

2 falls

First multi-pitch and everything was great. Only two pitches and the 2nd pitch traverses left as much as it ascends. Second pitch seemed a little stiffer than 4, but that may be due to some tree growth blocking some of the easy terrain. One could potentially do The Easy Bake Oven as a first pitch instead.

Awesome multipitch! Last pitch feels surprisingly exposed.
