An awesome way to see in the new year. with Aidy who on rapping a ropelength into a longtail, told the longtail driver to 'get the rope in the boat for a beer'. Alas, the ploy didn't work our second rope went in the water! 365 days ago I was standing on the summit of Mt. Aspiring!

#1 route in Thailand I've seen of heard of. My all time favourite climb anywhere. Very exciting, very high, very cool and a very large view. (pity about cloud cover on horizon) Mostly easy, but had its tricky moments. Very scary first bit- my solo lead to the belay station- 15m left from boat, 10m high off ocean. Wish I could have got some good photos or video of it- come again for that. Very different and exciting to climb from a boat to a tower coming out of the ocean.

Awesome full scope sport adventure. Great climbing, great position, novel rap into the waiting boat. Climbed it as 2 twos with a rope each. Both led top pitch as you would a single. Tied our single 60m to the anchor and rapped into boat from anchor at top of P2 while 2nd team were leading P3. They then set up retrievable rap with both ropes once they were finished and joined us in the boat. 2nd rope got wet so think about that when deciding which one to pull into the boat and which one is going in the drink.

Great way to spend the morning, would have been better if i didn't have stomach cramps (tonsai tummy) starting first pitch.. Kept composure and stuck it out haha Nice to abseil into a boat too

A must do route if you can time the tides to got on the tower. We hired kayaks from Ao Nang and paddled out there. Nobody wit a long boat would take us there, I think you can get one if you are coming from Tonsai.
